It is your wedding so you can do whatever you want! Being that it is your 3rd, I think a destination wedding with your kids is a great way to start your life together! Just make it into a vacation that anyone wants to go can go, but no obligations. As for a dress I wouldn’t go over board but wear something you feel confident in that is white or off white. Just do what makes you happy 🙂

How about an all inclusive resort? We have had a civil ceremony for insurance reasons but we are also having ceremony ( our original wedding plan) at Sandals Grande Riviera in Jamaica. They have free wedding packages which would be nice for a small intimate wedding. My grown children are not involved though happy for me because of my ex, their dad. I am going with the free wedding package except taking my own silk flowers and adding very inexpensive photography. It will just be just the two of us so our reception with be a candlelight dinner on the beach.

Our Sandals resort choice at Ochos Rios has a ton of things to do and according to reviews, very lively nightlife so your kids could have their own time.

As for a dress, I’m 56 and this is my second wedding. I found a lovely ivory cowl neck in front and back dress on JC Penney online. It’s elegant with some beading and a smattering of sequins. Just looked again today and its on SALE for $54. Its my third dress and the only one I haven’t returned so that means it’s the right dress. I’m not a frilly, poufy woman though I want to look beautiful and be comfortable. Regular wedding dresses just weren’t me.

Good luck with your planning! Hope I gave you a few ideas.
