Tl;dr: I bought two dresses! Let me hear your opinions on which one you like better.
I bought a dress a few months back off the rack from David’s. It was the best I could find within my budget, but had an illusion neckline that I had planned on having removed to turn into a strapless (cue a thousand “why!?” comments from friends and family). It was the only dress I found that had the shape and overall style I wanted within my price range, but was missing a strapless neckline, buttons, and champagne coloring that I really wanted. About a month ago I came across JJsHouse (I know, I know), found something that checked off everything on my list, and took the risk. Both dresses together ended up being under my original budget, but I would like to sell whichever one I do not end up wearing. For now, I’m stuck with two dresses and I need to make a decision.
While it’s too late to shame me on my dress regret and subsequent second purchase, I’d love to hear some opinions on which dress you prefer, the alterations I need to make, or advice on how to sell the dress I do not choose. Thanks!
Original dress from David’s. Was planning on having illusion removed (seamstress said it would be no problem), buttons added up back, and it needed a clasp added on the back.
What it looks like with illusion tucked in.
JJsHouse dress, needs to be taken in, but that’s about it.
Let me know what you think!

I like dress 1 better. I actually like it with the illusion removed. That change will frame you nicely.
I’m not as fond of the color of dress 2 and its quality doesn’t seem as nice as the first one.

Dress 1 with no illusion.

I vote david’s bridal dress! I like it both with and without the illusion.

Dress 1 made into strapless. I’m not a fan of the colour on the second dress.

Dress one, no illusion/straps!

Dress 1 all the way! I like the illusion (but my own dress had something similar, so I’m biased)

The jjs House dress has more wow factor to me + you do’t have to do extensive alterations.

I like dress 1 with no illusion neckline.
I think the ivory suit you better.

I love the uniqueness and color of the second dress! In fact that was the same color I was looking for with my dress, but I settled with a silver instead. Love dress #2! 🙂

Honestly? I’d return both & keep looking!

Dress 1! I actually don’t mind the illusion, but I think it would look fine without it.

Dress 1 with the alterations. Dress 2 doesn’t flatter your figure.

Dress 1 with the illusion looks best.
Sorry to say but I find the second dress garish and cheap looking.
