I bought a dress… and then I bought another dress.

Love dress 1 with the neckline altered. It’s very flattering on you! Not as keen on the colour of the other one on you.

Yep, I agree on number 1 — it’s fantastic! And I prefer it with the illusion. I do think the color on #2 is less flattering. But really, you can’t go wrong!

Definitely dress #1!  I do prefer it with the illusion neckline, but think it will still look great with the alteration.

Dress 1 WITH the illusion . I’m not surprised your family all said  ‘no!’ when you proposed taking the illusion off , as it turned a pretty dress,  which suited you,  into a  generic strapless  which suits  you less well.

I don’t like dress 2 at all , sorry. Not a pleasing colour and ,  have to say , looks … inexpensive.

Forgot to say , the first dress in ivory , NOT that yellowish colour  . You looked really   good in the original , its  a good design,  balanced and flattering to your shoulders .

Idk why strapless is thought  to suit every body , imho it really doesn’t

Definitely dress 1. I actually really like the altered neckline! To me, the champagne color of Dress 2 is too much of a contrast against the white lace that it has.

Dress 1 flatters your body a bit better, but overall I like dress #2 a lot more. I know JJsHouse gets a lot of flak on here, but I got both of my prom dresses with them and loved the material they used – both were very sturdy.

If it were me, I’d keep looking since I’m not a humongous fan of either, but that could be my a-line/ballgown personal preferences sneaking back in.

I love the color on the second dress, but I think dress 1 fits you slightly better. I actually love the illusion, but that’s a personal preference.

slothlove :  IMO the second one would be way cuter if the skirt could be brought up so that the flare or whatever begins at the hips, which would make it more of a tea length, but you could always add another later underneath for more length,

Dress 1 looks prettier. Dress 2 doesn’t look as high quality, and does appear cheap. The color is also unattractive.

I think the David’s WITH illusion is the most flattering.  It makes your curves rock!
