Hi everyone! Still waiting for the ring, and still being told it’s in December!
I went to Paper Source and found pocketfold enclosures on clearance in our color! So after discussing with my boyfriend, he said it was a LITTLE crazy buying them 2 years from the wedding but to go ahead and get them – so I did! I also got some decorative paper in our other color, pasted it on, and now they are sitting in a bag ready to go. I can’t believe I actually did it!
Anyways, just wanted to share the excitement… and the fact that I did this before I was even engaged. 🙂

I’m not sure what enclosures are in this context. Do you mean inner envelope or what?

Aww, artichokesalad! I don’t say this to be mean, but I kind of think that is delving a little too deep into the planning without the ring. 2013 is really quite a while away. Preferences change, your style could change, heck even your colours could change! If you waited till you were engaged to make purchases, you would still have a year and a half. Surely that is more than enough time to plan.

wow that is WAY early in my opinion

It’s not the end of the world, but I hope you still like those colours by the time your wedding rolls around, or they were cheap enough that it doesn’t matter.
If I’d even bought anything for my “fall wedding” we planned for the first month of our engagement back in Oct 2009, I would have had to throw it all away to start from scratch.

I think it’s a bit early, but as long as you didn’t spend too much you can always change your mind later on. And if you don’t, then you have some stuff! I wouldn’t buy a whole lot though this early on in case you change your mind!

I think it is great! I don’t think it matters when you get them, and if you can get a good deal, awesome. You can still change your color scheme and keep those invites anyways, because in the end it really doesn’t matter. I understand there not being a whole lot to do in the waiting stage and that its so exciting to get anything done!

Nothing wrong with being ahead, ahead of the game!LOL
I’m a sucker for a sale too, and would buy stuff, small stuff, but we haven’t agreed on colors.LOL Wonder if we ever will.
