They look kind of quincenera ( sp?) to me, especially the first one. I like ball gowns usually but there is just too much pouf going on.
There are many beautiful ball and A line gowns around, and you don’t need a ‘tighter’ wedding dress to look great , you look like most things would look good on you!
Just saw updates , phew! Yes save the pics for a ‘dress l almost bought ‘ thread

the back of the first one is beautiful and i feel like you could alter the upper chest lace to your liking. But im not a fan of the bottom, its almost way too puffy. But your second dress is gorgeous.
My other question would be can they remove layers from the bottom to make it less ? i know some dresses you are able to do that.

Girl… do you!
I am so glad you get to stop the order! stick with your gut… also if you did want a ballgown there are WAY better options….those 2 dresses wear you… and you should be wearing the dress

The first dress reminds me more of a quinceanera dress instead of a wedding dress! If you can, I think go with another style!

The dress is gorgeous!! I think the bust area is too loose that’s why it looks strange, try a smaller petticoat and see how you feel. Personally I love it

I like the 2nd one a lot better!

I know not everyone here is a fan, but I like it! Actually I like both of them.

By all means, do the mom dress for your ceremony and change into something fabulous and modern that is all you for the reception — pay for it yourself with different hair and accessories. That’s the only way you’ll really enjoy and in four hours with your reception dress, everyone will forget about the barbie doll poufy one! lol best of luck!!

The second dress is better in my opinion, the first one has a poof style that is very rounded? I’m not sure how to explain it, but honestly what bothers me most is that YOU dont LOVE the dress. Getting married is a very personal and emotional time, find a DRESS that matches your emotions! One that MAKES YOU excited. I PROMISE your mom and grandma will love it too, because your smile and happiness will shine through! Hugs and please don’t give up.

I think the gown is beautiful, but I would take out the hoop. It dates it, but the gown itself is gorgeous as are you.

This is highly dependent on your personal style. If you are having a Cinderella-themed wedding at Disney World, the dress works perfectly. If you are looking for something sophisticated and classy, this isn’t it.

As I do think the dress is very pretty and I love the back of it.
You should deffinitely feel beautiful in your own dress! You can’t let them live through you on yoru wedding day. If you think that it would mean the world to them to wear a ball gown. Then find one that makes you smile (maybe even go shopping by yourself? or with a friend instead of your mom and grandmother). The second one is gorgeous!
You should absolutely get another reception dress that is 100% YOU!

It looks like the prom dresses from the early 00’s. It feels dated. Im so sorry if thats harsh but giving you my honest first impression.

I can see why mom and grandma like it, it’s very 80s, but it’s just not in style now and so if it you don’t love it you should find something else. You’re way too pretty to wear a dress you don’t like.
