I am crazy. I fee like the the most insane person. What is this wedding thing and when did it happen to me!? Long story short “the dress” has been an anxiety filled whirlwind. I had no idea that I’d get sucked in. I fell in love with a dress way over my very small buget and then talked myself into it being the only thing I could possibly be happy with. Then the worst part, I bought it. I do love it, I really really do but now I feel like I’m going to throw up.

Can we see a picture? That might help people to comment. If you love it though I bet it’s fabulous!

Well, congrats! I hope you feel better. At least you got the dress you wanted and it’s over! Check it off the list and have a glass of wine!

What are we talking here? Your budget was $200 and you spent $1000? Or your budget was $1000 and you spent $10,000 on a designer gown?
I know for my budget, I probably should have kept it under $1000, or even closer to to $500, but I am going to end up spending $1,300 after alterations.
It didn’t kill me. It didn’t break the bank. We’re making it work, and I have a dress I love.

I just had to respond because this title made me laugh out loud. I felt like I was gonna vomit too, and mine wasn’t even that expensive. I am sure though after I make changes/additions and have my bustle done I am sure to vomit for real hehe.
Just embrace it. You are going to look and feel fabulous. Would love to see pics!

This title made me laugh too! I haven’t tried on dresses yet, so I really can’t say much, but if you love your dress, then I’m sure it’s perfect, and maybe you can cut some things out to make it work in your budget.
Post pictures if you can!

Yeah, I kinda got “sucked in” too. I spent more about $500 more than I planned. So not a huge amount, but I feel guilty spending that much on a dress that I’m going to wear once.
My only justification is that I’ll have the pictures to look at forever, and hopefully I’ll look good because I’m wearing such a beautiful dress.
I’m not sure how much over your budget we’re talking, but perhaps you can try selling it if you can’t really afford it?

Pics please! Also I agree with @tinylittlebird: . What’s the scale of the purchase we’re talking about?
