I just wanted to share how upset I was Sunday. So a month ago (7/5) I went to Kohls department store (where Fiance purchased my ring) to get my ring resized. They said it would be ready Aug 5. I called the store early that morning. I was so excited to be getting my ring back. I had parting issues with that ring. They told me the ring was ready. The store is all the way across town from where I live. I make it to the store. They give me my ring to try on. Something wasn’t right. I told her the ring still fits like a size 7. I needed a size 5.5. Come to find out, they NEVER sent the ring off to be sized. My voice began to crack as I spoke “So my ring has just been sitting here for a month?” The manager came to help. At this point tears were rolling down my face. I was distraught! The manager wanted to give me 20% off and wanted to have the ring rushed to be sized. I was so upset at the time I didn’t mention to her the ring was paid off. Anyways, that was my moment. I know people thought I was crazy running out of a department store with tears in my eyes. Fiance thought I was crazy too but he was very comforting about it.
I felt like an awful bridezilla after the fact, having a meltdown like that. But I just had to vent to you Bees about it. Was I overreacting? My ring is very important to me and it upset me that I couldn’t trust them with my ring anymore. I have already been having nightmares about the wrong ring or a fake ring being sent back to me and at that moment it felt like my nightmare was coming true.

Being a bride is stressing enough and not having your ring ready when it was suppose to be is making matters worse. Whether it be the ring, or invites or whatever at this time everything has to be right and perfect for us. I cried at Olive Garden when I was short on groomsmen all because his sister didnt want to pay for her son’s tux and I broke down. So its ok to break down in the most weirdest places. To everyone it could be pity things but to us it means a lot.

@lindseyl06: You did not over-react. The store messed up. You were like a kid in a candy store, only to find out the candy was poisoned, and you couldn’t have any of it! What a horrible outcome!

🙁 Wow, what a terrible story! Maybe they can give you a credit or something. I would definitely be calling them to speak to a manager about the situation to see how they can rectify it for you.

Are you kidding. You did not overreact at all. that’s so beyond ridiculous. my engagement ring has been at their ONLY vendor being resized for 50 days now. that’s 7 weeks and 1 day. I called today and they are calling the vendor tomorrow, if they are open, she didn’t know. I’m calling back Monday and if that haven’t resized it yet, I am having it shipped back unresized and I’m taking it to Kay jewelers bcus I trust them. I am so upset, I could cry. and then I read horrible reviews about diamonds being replaced for fakes, being melted and destroyed, I am getting very worried. This is my engagement ring and I don’t want anything bad to happen to it. this has been a nightmare. I’ll be happy to have it back, even if I have to take it somewhere else to be resized.
