As the title might suggest… sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) my SO and I like to use weird love linguistics. We say things like “I ruv you” or his favorite “oh rearry (really)” lol.
Also, sometimes we like to pluralize and abbreviate things. For example, we say stuff like “you need helps?” or “let’s go the fams for din tonight” lol
We also have weird nicknames like our favorite “bernie bear” ha!
I know, I know it sounds so juvenile, but it’s just between us and it’s silly and fun!
Anyone else have weird pet names or love linguistics between you and you SO or do anything weird that no one really knows about? …or are we just the completely only weird ones out there?

LOL. Well, Fiance and I LOVE DamnYouAutoCorrect.com…
So we use the F-ups all the time. Like “Can you Anal me later?” (anal being call) Or” I need some Poofarts!”(poptarts)
We also use a lot of weird stuff, like I’m Cold-y ball or Hungry Ball or pretty much anything followed by ball. I have no idea why.
I’m not sure if we have any “love-specific” weirdisms though LOL. I’ll have to think about it…

shhh! i know nothing about unnecessary plurals. nothing. and will admit it to no one. 😉

We always say “This is absorootery dericious” it looks dumb when you type it but it’s my favorite lol
@Belle2Be: So this kinda reminds me of this I was texting Mother-In-Law and the speaker thing came up so I figured I would use it and I said “it’s okay” and it came out “it’s okay old ass” HAHA so glad I read it before sending it

We speaks the exact. same. way.
For example, “I can haz snack?’ is my SO’s favorite 9 p.m. saying 🙂
We also call my Golden Retriever ‘Fooz’…which started out as ‘fuzzy face’, but eventually got modified to Fooz. So someone is always “foozin'” if they’re freaking out, being frustrating, hungry, sleepy, etc. 🙂
I think “don’t fooz me, baby!” comes out of our mouths at least twice a day.
You’re not alone 🙂

We don’t have funny ways of saying things, but we do have a couple back and forths that get used more than daily (much to the chagrin of our friends)
DISCLAIMER: This was never meant to offend anyone,…it started after watching “Tropic Thunder” for the first time (the scene between Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller).
“I love you.”
“So much it’s retarded.”
“You never go full retard!”
“Baby, for you, I always go full retard.”

We definitely do things like “rabu rabu” (which is a cutesy Japanese bastardization of “love”), and we occasionally talk at each other like lolcats. We’re kind of ridiculous. We also have a tendency to randomly shout out, “KISSES!” Then we stand around with our lips puckered until the other one comes to seal the deal.

We like to say “Ri rove rooooo!” like the dog on YouTube. He likes to call me “bird” or variations of bird, like Kirabird, baby bird, sleepy bird, grumpy bird. It’s embarassing in front of other people, so I call him embarassing names like muffin, puppy, bunny, etc. Or else I call him any random word, usually a food, like burger or corndog.
Edit: Oh yea, and we have a made up word to use for everything. If you’re lazy after work, you’re “shlooping” or if the salsa fell off the chip, it “shlooped.” And we call each other shloopy, but neither of us can remember who made it up. But it’s a really useful word, feel free to use it!

@Belle2Be: This made me laugh out loud, I love that site!
We do so many weird things it’s hard to pick the best examples. When I need him or want his attention I’ll yell “I want my HONNNEEEEEEEEEEEYYY” (a la Pearl from The Landlord, she says “I want my MONNNNNNEEEEEEEEY”)
Everything turns into a song somehow and we make up our own lyrics and dance around, lyrics often pertain to our dog somehow as well. And we call each other Mama Bear and Papa Bear (because of course the dog is Puppy Bear) that came from her acting like a bear on occasion.
So I’d say you’re not alone , I think it’s sweet!

Oh goodness, I thought we were the only ones!

We call things “tardy” at times. Not politically correct but it’s a silly joke that’s been going on for a realllllllllly long time. We also have pet names for our animals. Our dog’s name is Madison and somehow Darling Husband started calling her “The Moo” and it stuck.

Some of these are funny!
We say: My shoes hurt to say I love you, we saw it in some comedy and it just stuck!

i can’t relate to this at all….

Yes. My fiance is the worst at changing word tense and I somehow have adopted this. I think the most common phrase is “You are my babes.” It’s pretty much our version of saying “I love you” and they’ve all heard it so many times that it’s how our friends make fun of us now.
