Ok I’m sure everyone is getting annoyed with my date questions..lol I THOUGHT we decided on an option of 4 dates. Then my Fiance brought up the idea of pushing the wedding back to next May which is our anniversary month. That would make the engagement twice as long which I’m ok with. Here is what I need help on…
Please tell me your pros and cons of having a Fall wedding vs. a Spring Wedding
AND/OR having 9 month engagement vs. a 15 month engagement.
Thank you bees! So sorry I’m so indecisive!!

@TequilaSunrise: What are his reasons?

@creativeplannertobee: We have a wedding that we will be in this August. My daughters 5th birthday is Septembr 20th and we plan to throw her a party with the daycare invited. October is my favorite months but the only open date is the 21st and we both fear it will be too cold to use the outdoor part, but we would be able to use both the fireplaces. I think he can tell that I’m stressing over it too. The dates that do work wouldn’t really be his first choice being so close to my dauhters birthday…
I think he just doesnt want to settle and none of the available dates would be his first choice. He would also like to get married on May 26th which is our anniversary. He mentioned going to the courthouse this May to tie the knot but I want a wedding…He keeps telling me to do what I want the most.
He’s making it rather difficult because he is fine with anything.. I just wish he had more of a definite idea of what he wants. Se my problem? lol

@TequilaSunrise: I should add. We would love to get married this summer but my borther is getting married right in the middle of it. So, that is out for us too. I love fall but it seems that it makes more sense to have a srping wedding. I won’t be in school in may either…

I’m biased because I had a long engagement and loved it, but one pro to the May wedding is that, as it’s further away, you may have more selection when it comes to vendors (fewer may be booked at this point), and you wouldn’t have to rush order any dresses or anything.
Something I just thought of – May 26 is during Memorial Day weekend (US), if that makes a difference in terms of your guests.

@Gemstone: Oh wow I didn’t even realize May 26th way the memorial day weekend. Hmmmm…Fiance and I will definitely need to discuss some options. I’m beginning to think that a longer engagement would be a better option for us. Our reception site does fill up fast and we could def. have first pick of date if we waited a little longer. I also play on a lot of DIY projects and I would have that much more time to prepare and find needed materials…but fall…:( lol
