Oh my darling husband, I would not be where I am today without him: sick as hell.
I have tried Benadryl, Sudafed, Mucinex, Advil Cold & Sinus and I still cannot freaking breathe. I tried take a hot shower which worked for about five minutes… and now I cannot breathe again.
Any home remedies or tips? I’ve gone through 2 economy sized tissue boxes and have resorted to putting Vaseline on my red reindeer nose.
I’m about to hit up some jack daniels… I cannot take this [email protected]*#)[email protected]$_)(#[email protected]

LOL… I hear a Hot Tottie is a GREAT remedie for colds! Something I would do is take your hot shower, then immediatly after put some vicks vapor rub on your chest and if you have someone handy to put some on your back as well. But hot drinks really do work well, wether you add the Jack is up to you! 😀 Feel better!!!

@deetroitwhat: Neti pots work wonders, although I have to admit that I, myself, am terrified by them.
Other ideas: Breathe Right strips, ginger tea (cut a chunk off a root, steep it covered then drink and eat the bit of root if you can stand the spice), guaifenesin (although Mucinex probably has some), what about an antihistamine to dry up the nasal production?
p.s. a hot Toddy never hurt anyone! Bit of Jacks, brandy, honey, cinnamon stick…..that’s a home remedy that helps every time! 🙂
Feel better soon!

Boil water in a pot and then add few drops of eucalyptus, or peppermint, or tea tree oil in the pot. Put a towel over your head and lean over the pot to breathe in the steam for about 10 minutes. It will clean your sinuses.

There’s a baby diaper rash cream called Desitin, it is the BEST when your nostrils are all raw from too much kleenex application. If you put it on before you go to bed, your skin will be almost healed by the time you wake up. Or you can just put it on all the time if you won’t be spending time with anyone who cares that you have diaper cream on your face. 😛
