So to summarise:
- I know he has the ring
- I know where said ring is (but as yet have managed to avoid all temptation to sneek a peek
- I don’t know what the ring looks like
- I don’t know when he’s going to propose
- I do know I’m going absolutely insane with excitement/nervousness.
I found out from my best friend that she has seen my ring, she “adores it!” and she knows when he’s going to propose. She is giving nothing more away, except that “it won’t be this week”
Bees, I cannot think about anything else. I’m doing everything I can to take my mind off this, but I need some new distractions. I’m going to the gym every day, I make sure all the errands are done at home etc but still it is my every second thought!
If you have ANY suggestions of things I can do to occupy my mind for the next potentially 7 days. I would be so grateful!

I was in your EXACT position last year, I knew where the ring was, my best friend saw the ring and knew the proposal plan and it drove me MAD.
My best advice would be do do exactly what you are doing, but maybe also try something new, a new hobby, I started back knitting and yoga and it really helped, even if it takes your mind of it for an hour or so.
I hope it gets easier soon and I hope you don’t have to wait much longer!

@WaitingweddingBE , I completely understand where you are coming from! It is absolutely tempting to peak and find out what your love has planned for you…but, remember this: This proposal means to him just as much as it means to you. So keep in mind that in order to be fair to him, you need to show your true emotions and feeling (and surprise) when he does propose…it’s only fair imho.
You are doing a great job at keeping yourself busy, but how about directing that energy/curiosity to something else? Do more activities or even better – stop asking questions about your-soon-to-be-fiance’s plans! It will only drive you more crazy!
I am in the same position as you because my boyfriend has been teasing me for the past few months and dropping hints like “Oh, I’m going shopping- do you want any carrots? I mean, carats, I mean…I don’t know, sweetie….i’ve said too much”….it infuriates me and so I just try to forget it! haha.
I really hope you figure something out because it’s completely understandable how you feel.
Best of luck, and please share on how/when he does it!!

Congrats on not peeking at the ring! I like to think that I would be able to resist but I seriously doubt it! i can’t wait for updates!

I don’t think you will have much longer to wait – so keep busy best you can for now! And keep asking your best friend til she gives you another clue 😉 haha!

@fillowpixer I couldn’t agree more, I don’t want to spoilt it for him, so I don’t intend to even consider peeking, but I hate that I know where it is. (I wish I could tell him I know but I’d worry that he’d think I’ve peeked, swings and roundabouts!)
@spaneshal thanks here’s hoping eh?! The fact that my friend says its not this week, implies that it’s next week but when? I have no idea!
I came up with a novel way to occupy myself today, to write my provisional guest list! It was actually very productive and is the first Wedding related planning I’ve done. Apparently I have 6 bridesmaids and around 90 guests, hehehe!

Soooooo I peeked online….does that count?! I finally found my ring under recently purchased rings on blue nile. I know that’s it because he used our joint account to purchase so I know the exact amount. Plus I showed him which ring I want. And it has a 360 video so I get a good look. It’s beautiful….sooooo excited!! That’s not as bad as peeking in person right!!
