I’ve been very busy lately but I wanted to share a short update. Over the past year, maybe less, I’ve come to WB to rant, rave, share and commiserate with all of you. It’s been such a wonderful experience to be in the presence of positive, welcoming people.
The ring will finally be in my posession next month. I’m excited, but funny enough I already feel like a fiance. We openly discuss marriage now, and he even looked at a few wedding dresses while we were in Macy’s this past weekend (at his suggestion).
I can’t wait to share photos of the big day! It definitely didn’t happen how I thought I wanted it to, but I’m glad things has come along the way that they did. I just wanted to share with all of you – things may not happen in the timeline that you would prefer and they also may not happen the way that you want (example, I would have loved to have a surprise ring and surprise proposal) – but when they do come together, it will be meaningful and right for you.
I made engagement chicken about a year before the proposal… did it work? Maybe! I’ll check in with you all after the big day, in about a month (!!!!), maybe towards Christmas. 🙂

Wow…this is really the home stretch for you. That in itself is, of course, exciting. 🙂 I think it’s also really reassuring to hear what you have to say about the waiting process. It’s so true that things don’t always happen how or when we expect them to – but that’s the beauty of a relationship, right? Even though it doesn’t happen how we predict, it still happens and is wonderful. It must be so exciting for you to be openly talking with your soon-to-be Fiance about marriage and even looking at those dresses!
This post gives me hope on a day I am a little out of sorts after weird engagement-gone-wrong dreams. I need to keep in mind that things *are* going to happen…and however they happen, they will be wonderful.
Enjoy your last days as a girlfriend and not a fiance! 🙂 I look forward to hearing your story about the big question-popping day!

Soo exciting!! I am in the same boat.. I am getting engaged before X-Mas as well (hence the 43 days left post haha) and am soo excited as well! I know what you mean about already feeling like a fiancee, but you know what, when it actually happens, I bet we are going to feel totally different than we do right now!! Feeling like it and being one are probably two totally different feelings, and I can’t wait for that official feeling!! Mine hasn’t happened the way I hoped either, but I know it will still be amazing & special… and I can’t wait to see how it DOES happen!! Can’t wait to hear your story 🙂
