Aww thanks ladies you’re all so sweet! I’m so very proud of how it turned out (as I’m sure all us brides are 🙂 ) and couldn’t wait to share the few I had.
@OliveT: I’m Italian, too (though I surely don’t look it!), and I made the limoncello in honor of my late grandmother (straight off the boat from a small southern town in Italy, who died last October). I also made mini versions of her “sherry cake” recipe for those who don’t like alcohol or are underage 🙂
I made the flowers myself & it was very easy. I highly recommend Costco for flowers if you choose to go that route (I got white roses & hydrangeas from them). The flowers were lovely & the CS was excellent (I was worried that they might wilt because it was very hot that week, but they told me that if they didn’t hold up until my wedding day, that they’d furnish new ones for me at a local store!). I then bought extra “filler flowers” from our local grocer here (Giant Eagle).
