I am very lucky to live in a city where asian stores are everywhere and this particular store I visited is run by a very nice Vietnamese lady. I tried on the green dress on the hanger( pics do no justice) and these two wedding dresses. I paid a deposit to hold both wedding dresses until my two closest friends get to come with me to see them. After I chose a wedding dress, I will have spent under $500 including the green dress. Yay!
Now, I love both dresses and I intend to lose at least 10lb. am only 5’1″ so that’s quite a bit. Anyhoo, please tell me which one you like best. I am not completely sold on how the mermaid looks on my body shape but we all know the power of a sash/belt, mine in this case would be black ( a huge plus) and the dress is gorg. Honest opinions which one looks better?
By The Way those freaky shoes will be my wedding shoes 🙂

Moncheri: Hey, firstly those shoes look great. Is the first photo right as I think it’s like stretched and looks a little blurry to me?

Thanks, yeah that first pic is stretched not sure why.

Wow! I love that you have managed to score not only one but two dresses for $500! I think a beautiful belt/sash would definitely make the second mermaid dress pop a little more – in saying that im a massive belt/sash fan when looking at dresses I loved some dresses only because of the belt haha, I can’t really see the top picture but a belt could look nice on that too depending on the bodice detail so you could find one you love and see the entire look before you decide? they both look beautiful though either way you are winning 🙂

I like the ballgown, myself. But I am never a fan of mermaids.

The first one for sure! It’s stunning and looks very high end compared to the other one. The tule on the mermaid style looks like it was just sewed on in chunks and I’m scared it might easily rip off as you wear it. I’m honestly in love with the first one anyway it’s stunning and flatters your body shape – note I don’t thing you need to loose weight, nor would that make a ton of difference in the mermaid gown they just don’t look super flattering on everyone. I’m quote tiny and everyone agreed mermaid made me look wider!- you can always add some funky too it with your jewlery /vail etc if you are worried it’s too traditional.

I think the first one for sure! Like PP said, it looks so much more high end than the mermaid!

The first one for sure. I think your body shape works better with #2. I don’t think # 2 is very flattering 🙁
