I’m never a big fan of mermaids, so keep that in mind – but I really love the 1st one on you!!

I think the ballgown looks lovely on you, the other one…not so much!

Moncheri:  I definitely think the first dress is better. To make the mermaid fit you, they’ll have to hem it or cut the bodice short and the proportions will all be off. I think the other one was very flattering and the memaid might end up making you look shorter.

Moncheri:  Dress #1, without a doubt! The second one completely chops you up length wise and us shorties just can’t afford to make ourselves look any shorter than we already are (I’m 5’2″ on a tall day myself). The second dress might actually work for you (the beading on it is gorgeous) if it weren’t for the weird bits of tulle sticking out at the bottom third, I think they completely ruin the shape of the dress and make it unflattering for anyone other than a skyscraper-like model – and I’m not even convinced a model could pull it off, honestly. If you like the second dress better, you could maybe have the tulle removed to see if it makes any difference? Or photoshop the tulle away?

I think dress #1 flatters your body and doesn’t cut you off like dress #2!

I *think* I like the first one. It looks weird bc of it being stretched but from what I can tell I think I like that one. The mermaid looks good too tho.

I can only echo what everyone else said: the ballgown, hands down!

The first dress is beautiful! Very nice on your figure. The mermaid, however, makes you look much shorter than you are.

I vote ballgown. I think it looks more classic which is my taste. I always think, what will still look good in photos 5/10/20+ years down the road. Both are beautiful on you though. CONGRATS on such a great bargain. I am super jealous of your great deal.

Ballgown, no question about it. It’s romantic and looks luxurious. The mermaid isn’t flattering and doesn’t look well-constructed.
