@SweetRose2011: Ummmm… I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but simply because he said to use his name does not guarantee you’ll be published.  It might get you in the door, but they still have to approve you.

Kinda like if an agent sends you to another agent.  You can mention their name, but that doesn’t promise you’ll land the agent.  Or editor, etc.  You still have to meet their criteria.

Good luck!!!  This is still great news and exciting; but please, IF you do get rejected, don’t take it to heart.  Lots of people get rejected before they get published, online or on paper.

again, good luck!!!  it’s still really exciting!!!

Yay! I’m a poet and have appeared in and edited several literary magazines, so I know how great that must feel. Good luck to you.

Drats… it double posted.

@SweetRose2011: believe me, I’m right there with you!  My Fiance and I are writers and have written no less than 8 novels between us and so far, all we get is “there’s no market for this” when we send query letters to agents. IT. SUCKS.  Especially when they ask for a partial or the full thing!!!!

It would be VERY awesome if you do get published!  and I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!  We writers have to stick together, right? 😉

Now… could you do me a favor and tell me to get back to finish the murder mystery I’m supposed to be working on?  Instead of writing, I’m on the Bee and planning a wedding.  I mean, really, how can I get the novel done if I’m on here?! 😉

@SweetRose2011:hehehehehe, maybe I can coax my Fiance into helping me brainstorm tonight.  Since I really need a “father’s” opinion… and he IS a father! LOL!

Good luck to your Fiance, too!!!!  It’s sooo difficult to land an agent, let along get published by the big names.  Unless you’re writing romance or YA, then you’ve got a slightly better chance.  Fantasy is just a PAIN to get anywhere with…. 🙁
