I am having a really hard time deciding between two wedding venues. I am hoping that i can get some more objective opinions about what is most important etc. My guests are in the NY, NJ adn PA area so both venues woud require more traveling for one group of people (ie- south jersey would be easier for PA people but North NJ venue would be easier for NJ and NY people)
Venue 1: A golf resort outside of Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was an old country club that has now been turned into hotel. We would do our wedding the Sunday of memorial day weekend allowing for guests to travel as this area is not exactly where I am from.
Pros: beautiful outdoor ceremony space, large pretty ballroom, good plan b location for ceremony, great “kick off ” of summer atmosphere (hotel has pool, golfing etc), hotel is onsite.
Cons: things like lighting, chair covers etc are extra, menu, while very good, is standard
Venue 2: also a golf club but in Northern NJ closer to where I am from. THis is a different concept allowing us to pick our menu and exactly what we want for one set price.We might have to do a Friday night wedding here bc of the price.
Pros- beautiful ballroom with unique archway and detailing, everything is included such as uplighting, Chivari chairs, linens, tablecards, ceremony is free, unique menu with some high end options, large cocktail hour,
Cons- might have to be Friday night, hotel is not onsite.
Please advise which one you think would be best if you wre a guest attending. Thank you!
