i dont know where you are located, but i am from North jersey and there are many beautiful places up there.  also, have you checked places in PA?  I am getting married right outside of philly, and it is an hour and fifteen away from my mom’s house in jeresey

If I were in your shoes I would most likely go for Venue 2.

@marinc04:  I’m guessing Venue 1 is Seaview?  If so, I recently had my reception there so please PM me if you want to talk about pricing specifics for the extras!

The second one offers more of what you want in terms of the look, while the first one has more of an outdoor feel and a bit more price.

Having a Friday night wedding is just fine if you let your guests know way in advance so they have the option of taking the day off.  Friday’s are nicer to me because the staff is more attentive and yours will probably be the only wedding that day.  Go with your gutt (in other words, have a tasting and see what food is better).  If you are thinking in terms of having a fabulous reception room, then I would go for #2 if the food is great.

If the first one is the Seaview, it’s such a great venue. Don’t be worried about the menu…the food there is GOOD. Just a heads up though if you’re planning on being outdoors, there are TERRIBLE flies in the summer. If the venue isn’t Seaview then feel free to ignore this post haha

I’d go for #2, but I may be partial because I’m from Bergen County lol

I vote for venue #2!
