Hey guys! So I recently went out and tried on some dresses, my dream dress has been Sottero and Midgley’s Jerrica Ballgown, unfortuantely it’s not in production anymore and I have no way of trying it on. I found someone on pre-owned wedding dresses selling one that would fit me PERFECTLY cheaper than any new dress I’ve tried on. I don’t know if that’s a risk to take, but heres the dresses I have tried on and loved. Any thought’s or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
When talking to my FH the two words I described I wanted were elegant and princess-ish. I’ve never had anything crazy in mind, I also wanted to stick traditional with white/ivory, but liked the pinks a little….
White by Vera Wang Ombre Tulle Wedding Dress
Jewel Strapless Tulle Beaded Lace Wedding Dress
Stella York 6286
$1,400 (it has this BEAUTIFUL sequin tulle layer under the lace, but not as poofy of a mermaid I want)
Maggie Sottero Primrose
Or should I take the risk and go with Jerrica?
The seller has it for $700, and measurments are perfect for me (assuming no alterations would be needed)
Thanks so much bees!!!!

Ballgown! Ballgown! Ballgown! The pinkest one!

You look stunning in all of them but my favorite is the Vera Wang ball gown! Gorgeous dress !

I feel like I rarely vote ballgown over fit and flare (I’m biased haha) but the ballgown shape is SO flattering on you! I voted for the Vera (again I’m a little biased 😊 As my dress is the Vera Wang Gemma…very similar to the Primrose fit and flare) but looking at your funky haircut and style, it’s more modern and stands out. The others look okay but you’d look like any other bride. Especially the preowned one you’ve had your eye on. I 100% vote for the VW!

Wow I thought the first one for a ball gown you look great. If you want a princess that looks lovely on you but then seeing you in a mermaid you look stunning. I think it’s your shoulders and collar bone definitely do strapless. I liked the deeper sweetheart.
I saw a comment about looking like any other bride well the Vera is unique and must be even more amazing in person and that price!
A fit n flair turned out to be my most flattering fit but it’s blue so maybe that’s not like any other bride.
Ps I’m sorry.. I’m not fond of the pink jewel tulle hides your torso which the Vera does too but it’s poofier so defines your waist. It’s kinda an a line ball gown. The Vera is a whole different ballgame.

Don’t be sorry!!! I definitely agree it’s too A-line for what I like, I think I was so in love with the train and the pink I didn’t really care so much at the time. The more I look at it the less I like that

I love the ball gowns on you.

Ball gown #1 is gorgeous!

First ball gown by a long shot. To be clear, you look amazing in them all. I hate mermaids just as a matter of form but the first one looks incredible on you. I don’t care for the ones that look like torn up tissues though, so the final 2 dresses are out of the running for me. Second ballgown looks like something a little girl would wear for her birthday, I don’t like it at all. But that first gown… wow. Not even a contest and seems far easier to deal with than scooching up a mermaid to pee when the time comes.

The first one! I wouldnt want to take the risk if you didn’t love it on and then were unable to sell it to make up for the cost.

The Vera Wang ball gown. Even though you blurred out your face I can still tell you’re smiling and you look so happy in it! I love the color too. Very different, but in a good way! The Stella York also looks amazing on you but it’s not as unique as the ball gown. I really like the Jerrica dress too. Such a tough decision!

It definitely is tough! I never thought I would have such a problem picking my dress!! I’m really appreciating the help though!!! 🙂

You look stunning in the Vera Wang! I am a fan of second hand dreseses, and if you can try your fav on before buying i’d recommend that – if you can’t, then I’d pass. Personally the ballgown on the Vera is so soft and feminie and very princessey.
