The ombre on that Vera Wang is PERFECT and the skirt is like a beautiful cloud! It definitely fits elegant and princessy (more so than the Jerrica imo). And it’s a bit unique!

I’m not really a ballgown person, especially not ruffly ballgowns, BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Vera Wang on you!! So elegant and unique. Even if you bought that dress and then sold it afterwards for 50% off, it would still be the same price as the second hand dress you like!

iceetemp :  I had the exact same dilemma. I too initially fell in love with the sottero and midgley Jerrica only to find out it was discontinued this summer. I’m not sure where you’re located but I called several dress shops where I live and surrounding cities to find it. I finally found it at a shop an hour away, I went and tried it on knowing it wasn’t my size but just so I could still see how it looked on me. I had to be able to have a vision of myself in it before I could think about ordering a pre owned one or say yes to something else and I’m glad I did! While the dress is gorgeous it just wasn’t my dress. I ended up going with Maggie Sottero Primrose. It may be a long shot but couldn’t hurt,  Ask the bridal shop to call Sottero and Midgley. One of the shops I contacted in my desperate search offered to do this and surprisingly they still had some in stock and were willing to ship it to the store.

I really love that Vera Wang. You do suit ballgowns and if the Jerrica is your ideal then you will end up feel you sold out a bit wearing something straight and un-frothy like the Stella York. I love the Primrose but it’s the wrong dress for your body- it just sits on top of you and overwhelms you.

I like the second dress you posted too- it’s very flattering.

Personally, I think if you look good in dress #1 and #2 then you will look amazing in the Jerrica too. The basic shape is very similar. The skirt is frothier and bigger but it will work on you as the waistline looks very similar to the Vera Wang. I would go for it. And it’s a bargain!

You are beautiful! My one suggestion would be that before making your final decision, try on some dresses with a straight across or modified sweetheartn neckline instead of a true sweetheart. I think it would look perfect on your bust!

I don’t know if I’d call the Stella York traditionally princess-ish, but it’s sooooo elegant.  Like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly would be fighting over that dress.

I guess I just feel like your figure is killer and you’re covering half of it in a ball gown.  But you look gorgeous in those too so whatever you choose will look great.

I was going to vote for the first one, but after seeing the Jerrica again, I have to say risk it.  Jerrica is absolutely gorgeous IRL and I haven’t seen one that compares.  I ordered mine sight-unseen too….totally worth it.

I voted for the Vera but the Maggie was a close second for me. Have you tried on Haven or Divina in blush?

The first one looks great on you. The second pink one looks like a prom dress. Others are typical and nothing wow about them.
