Perhaps start looking for a new cleaning lady? I can’t help but imagine that continuing to employ her will be anything but uncomfortable and weird for both of you.

I hope hope hope they turn up. ‘Nothing is lost in the eyes of God’ I’m not really religious more spiritual but that gives me a lot of comfort if I’ve lost something meaningful x

Odd to me that you conveniently found out she brought someone with her after someone on here mentioned it.

I’m not surprised the husband called you. To be honest, mine would probably do the same. Men are a protective species haha

If they run the business together than it’s no an issue she comes with her. We have often hired a labourer to come and install or quote on thinhs in the house and you speak to one person and two show up. I just feel that anyone who does a labouring type job is always the first to be blamed for stuff like this and it’s an awful part of societies judgement.

I am happy to hear you have insurance (not that it will ever replace the sentimental side of your original rings, I get that). But yes, file a report that your rings have gone missing but I don’t think you have grounds to file anythjng against them at this stage.

I am sorry this is happening to you. I would be terribly sick. The last thing you need in this stressful time is people telling you how you should and shouldn’t think. I know what it’s like to lose something important and it literally drives you so crazy that you get to the point where you question every memory you have, to the point where you don’t even know what’s real. It’s like when you say a word so many times that it doesn’t even sound like a word anymore. It is very hard to decipher what happened. The important item I lost was a flashdrive with hundreds of hours of collegiate work on it. It ended up being at the bottom of my boyfriend’s work clothes laundry basket… I NEVER touch my boyfriend’s work clothes laundry basket because sometimes he works in disgusting place or around asbestos. I FREAKED out. I was in shambles, I tore my house apart, I filed a police report. I couldn’t even eat… My boyfriend finally took all of his clothes out of his laundry basket to do laundry and there it was… On the very bottom of the basket like someone had taken all the clothes out and placed it there. Sometimes small things like rings and such seem to work their way into odd places like magic. And sometimes it is something much more insidious such as theft. Bottom line, I hope it turns up somehow and/or somewhere. Until it does you may never actually know what happened, which I am truly sorry for because you deserve to know.
