(Closed) I cant get motivated to loose weight…ugh

I struggled with getting motivated to lose weight before the wedding. Life was so busy and I had just started new anxiety medication which made me eat constantly. I gained 10 lbs right before the wedding. It was awful. I can tell you now, looking back, I wish I had done more to lose weight. I felt very uncomfortable in my own skin. I hated the way I look. We got a personal trainer after the wedding and I’ve lost 18 lbs in about 6 weeks! I am so excited and I am going to do a TTD shoot so I am looking forward to looking and feeling good in my dress (although it will be too big now). I also plan on doing a boudour shoot for my husband for our anniversary gift once I get in really great shape (hopefully by this summer!)  I hope you found your motivation that you needed!

@may4bride: Ugh that is my downfall as well. I just had to stop buying the things I crave to munch on after volleyball. I lost four pounds this past week by NOT snacking after dinner. Crazy!

One thing that motivated me are all those shows like “Biggest Loser,” “I Used To Be Fat,” “Are You Fitter Than A Senior?” and “Losing It With Jillian.” Surrounding myself with fitness shows and seeing people older than me in better shape, or younger than me and bigger than me and working out harder than I do, in combination with looking at pictures of wedding dresses constantly and wanting to acheive that look motivated me to begin working out. I am on day 37 of ChaLEAN which is by the same people that made Insanity and P90X. Yesterday, I got the motivation to begin dieting from out of the blue, and made an appointment at a local weight loss clinic. Woo!

I wasn’t motivated at all until I signed up at a gym and pushed myself to go. Now that I work out daily, I am guilty when I miss a day. If you really want this you will push for it! Have your tried taking a friend with or your partner?

That’s awesome!! It definitely helped me to have a home gym and for my husband to work out as well! We work out every morning together now! Thank goodness!
