I forget, do you have any sort of timeline to keep you going??

Me too, if I hear “soon” one more time I may just about throw something!

I think I’m so impatient because I’m a very independent person, so the idea that I have NO control over a major life event like getting engaged is just completely alien to me. If I want something to happen I just go out and do it, maybe you’re the same way too?

Haha totally feel where you’re coming from. I have NO Idea when it’s coming. I’m scared to flat out ask him because 1) i pretty much know he wouldn’t tell me 2) i think he would tell me some crazy timeline to stress me out and throw me off so he could surprise me. He says he has it planned, so I’m praying to the engagement gods that if he has it planned, it’s sometime in the near future?? The not knowing is a killer!! LOL
I see a lot of Bees “complaining” (and for good reason) or being upset with not knowing if their SO is ready or if it will ever happen….sometimes we KNOW it’s happening there is no qualm over if he wants to do it…it’s just the waitiiiiiinnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg 😛 BLAH!! lol

I totally understand.  We had actually even booked our venue, and I was still waiting.  Even though I knew it was coming, the waiting sucked!  My Fiance really wanted to wait until we were away, and he has the most perfect ring.

I know it is hard, and everyone tells you this…but it will happen when it is meant you…and I’m sure it will be perfect!

I know what you mean, OP!  I was impatient and refused to wait. Innocent  I’m more of the “take control of my future” type anyway, lol, and my Fiance was happy for the advice and assistance.  We talked it over and planned everything out for a very definite time period and the perfect ring for me and etc.  If your Boyfriend or Best Friend is like mine and needs guidance, it’s not a bad thing to help out or ask questions!  It always bothers me how men have all the control over engagements and it’s always assumed that the woman is just waiting on him to decide he’s ready and taking any control away is a horrible thing!  There’s nothing wrong with empowered women!  Only go with the tradition if you want to.  My fiance’s proposal was beautiful and amazing and I cried happy tears… even though I knew it was coming.  Laughing

You can ask him if he wants to know some of your dream proposal or dream ring ideas or something along those lines.  You know your relationship better than anyone!  Do what you think is best for you!

@batwoman:  I know right, ‘soon’ is officially my least favourite word!

@Scottish_lassie:  Mmm now you’re making me want to binge…all the things I am craving are on the other side of the Atlantic =(   Anyone want to FedEx me some Chipper? Hahaha
