“I seen” instead of “I have seen” or “I’ve seen”.  It irks me so!  He knows the proper way to say the phrase but that is how he talks.  :-/

“Calm down.”

Seriously, it just pisses me off MORE when he tells me that – ESPECIALLY if I’m already calm, but just upset about something.

Also, he says “suposably” instead of the correct “supposedly” just because he knows it drives me up the wall (I tend to scream “THAT’S NOT A WORD!!!”). Ah, love. :p

I can’t stand it when he comments on my driving. It’s nothing in general, just him doing it at all drives me CRAZY!!!

@misspeanut:  I agree with you, completely! I do not get upset easily, and when I do…it is always over something very serious. It always goes something like… “You need to calm down. I’m sorry.”  Telling me to calm down automatically cancels out an apology!

“I don’t like when you _____” (In a very stern and cold voice). Typically when I did something ridiculous because I was upset with him.  It feels like he just threw ice water in my face.  however it always snaps me out of my bratty mood and makes me feel like I was being childish, so I guess its a good thing. He only says it whenever I was in fact being childish.

“Use your head”.  He says it to everyone (including his brother or cousins or whomever) so I know he doesn’t mean it in a demeaning way but it drives me nuts.  Just the difference of how we grew up.  His dad talks the same way.

Not something he says, but when he rolls his eyes at me I just want to slap him. Also, he has a bad habit of saying “I’m sorry. But…” and then making an excuse for whatever he did. I don’t want your damned faux-pology!

“Bummer.”

He says it when I’m upset about something and he doesn’t know what else to say.

“We’ll figure it out.” It doesn’t irk me nearly as much as it used to, but still annoying.

And this isn’t something he says, but if I’m getting agitated about something, he’ll pat my hand or my leg in a “calm down” kind of way. THAT really pisses me off. He usually does it in front of his mom, so I don’t end up flipping out, but I really want to.

“It is what it is.”

He says this ALL THE TIME when something bad happens that we can’t control, and it drives me berserk.  Especially when he says it two or three times in five minutes.

I hate when mine asks what I’m doing when I’m clearly making dinner or cleaning something. I usually respond with “salsa dancing” or “tanning”

It really just makes me want to punch him in the neck.

“It is what it is so deal with it.”

NOT a good thing to say to me when I’m all worked up about something!

@Jer72:  Yes I get that too! Makes me want to wring his neck!
