@IzzyBear:  Honestly, I have the worst dress regret ever! I’m on my second gown now, and i’m resolved to like it and stick with it! But pretty much every week I see another gown on these boards or elsewhere and completely fall in love with it. But in about a week, I’m over it and back to loving my gown.

It helps me to try to think of things that I DON’T like about the new “gown of the moment” that I’ve fallen for. I think the fear of having “the wrong dress” makes me only focus on the positive aspects of the gown I don’t have and the negative aspects of the gown I do have.

Good luck! I know it’s hard!

If you really can’t let go of the other dress, maybe you could order a replica of it to use for your rehearsal dress?

If you don’t want to do something like that, I think it’s a good idea to focus on anything you dislike about the dress. Try to remind yourself that there are many pretty dresses out there and any one of them would have looked good on you, but you have to pick one sometime.

Do you guys ever do formal events (like the opera/black tie anything?) I would get the Divinia replica and use it for your special occasions!

@IzzyBear:  you know, it’s funny, I thought my dream dress would be a blush mermaid style, but I have to say, I love the one I picked out. And I feel the same about yours, the blush dress would be a cool fun dress, but yours looks amazing on you and suits you perfectly! You look gorgeous in it!!! And I have a feeling when you’re walking out on your big day, you’ll have no regret!!

Go try it on. That is what I had to do to solidify my dress choice. I didn’t want a bunch of whatifs so I tried on my dress and the other dress back to back  i had to sneak and take a picture to do a pict stich on my phone and realized I had made the right choice. Nothing like sitting around thinking about another dress when you already have one.

I kinda feel the same way sometimes about certain things that I ruled out from the beginning. Sometimes I look at the big ruffly ballgowns or a mermaid dress like the divina and wonder if I made a mistake by ruling them out. Then I have to remember that A LOT of thought got put into choosing my dress and I can only choose one, and I wouldn’t choose them over the dress I picked

@IzzyBear:  well, like radar said, you could go try it on, take pictures, and collage them side-by-side, just so you can have some closure on the dress. And as much as I looooove my dress, and wouldn’t change it for the world, it’s hard as crap to move in! But thats the look I’m going for so I decided I’d put up with it all day Lol. I definitely won’t be breaking it down on the dance floor:p but being comfortable to me is not something I’m completely worried about. With your dress you’ll be looking amazing and can do some “wobbling” or the “stanky leg” if you want lol

@IzzyBear:  I understand!!! But if comfy was important to you, then you nailed it:) I’m hoping I don’t suffocate by the end of the night lol and I agree that the mermaids are sexier but the ball gowns are more pretty in my opinion. I really liked the allure ball gown I tried on, and my parents loved it too–I think that’s what they invision when considering me getting married. But it just wasnt me, I feel like it doesn’t fit my personality as much as a mermaid. And my parents agreed with me when they saw 8917. Your gown makes you look like a millionaire!! It’s so fancy and beautiful. Which I think is you–glamorous πŸ™‚ I don’t many mermaids are glamorous.
