Bring up that you were on the bee and other people were talking about it and it really got you thinking how great it would be to take part in such an effort by choosing moissanite

Just tell him about how you heard about moissanite and did some research and it sounds really awesome to you, i don’t think you need to be all that indirect about it… i must say though, not all diamonds are blood diamonds what happens in blood diamond doest make all diamonds “bad”, that is a huge generalization and you just have to do your research on who you are buying from

If you’re looking to be descrete I would try something like … “hey, remember how we were talking about rings a while back? I came across this really cool stone and I think its awesome because …. I would really consider this over a diamond when you’re ready.”

I wouldn’t try to trick him or be subtle because it probably won’t work.

ditto what Kermie said. he’d probably be so happy that you want something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

I agree with everyone else that you should tell him as directly as you can, in the ways that Kermie suggested. He probably would not know what moissanite even is if you did not tell him!
