I brought my lunch just like any other day, but I heard some of the work people were going out for a guy whose last day is tomorrow. We went and had BBQ, it was so delicious 🙂
But of course now I feel bad that I have been good all week and almost ruined it by cheating. Don’t you hate how one meal can just ruin it all?!

Count it as your cheat meal! A trainer I met once said “3 cheat meals a week” as opposed to only one or a day..
Can you work out today or go for a long walk to make up for it?
If it makes you feel any better, I ate a custard concrete after an hour of pilates last night =]

one bad meal can never ruin a good week (unless it was a 10,000 calorie meal :p) You have to allow yourself treats like this once in a while!
I had a pillsbury cinammon roll last night and it was so so yummy but this morning I’m back to eating my oatmeal made with skim milk and blueberries after burning 150 calories on my morning workout 🙂

You know what? I have been “good” all week, actually mostly for the past 3 weeks, and today we were out of milk at the house. Not enough left for a bowl of cereal, so I went to McDonalds & I got a sausage egg mcmuffin with NO cheese. I loved every bite of it.
I’m a cheater too 😛

Nothing wrong with a cheat meal every once in a while!!!

tonight is a cardio night, so either 60 min on a treadmill or maybe a stationary bike.
and knowing that a trainer said 3 cheat meals a week makes me feel better! I was aiming for one a week, but I don’t mind three little cheats

cheat meals are the best lol. my whole office is on a diet so its actually easier because we’re all supporting each other and some of us have joined the same gym so we go in pairs. but i wont lie, we all have our cheat meals. just as long as your not cheating everyday then im sure your ok, and when you cheat, try not to go overboard or else you’ll really regret it =)

and thanks for all of the comments!! I was feeling bad, but its good to know that we all need a little cheat every now and then 🙂
plus we have been aiming at going to the gym six nights a week, so maybe the cheat will help me push myself tonight and do extra good!

My mom once told me about this diet called the “Wendy diet.” You’re good 6 days out of 7, but one day a week you eat more calories to keep your metabolism revved up and burn more cals in the long run. Just think of it as your “Wendy” day!

P.S. I’ve been on a detox all week (I will blog about it soon), and I keep having dreams about food! This morning I dreamed about a sausage biscuit from McDonald’s! I hardly ever eat stuff like that!

@mouse, I had a friend who was a cross country runner who told me about Wendy days!!!
Maybe those runners are onto something =]

I’m planning on cheating tonight 🙂 It’s going to start with some tater tot hot dish (yum!), then we’re going to a concert that has a sponsored cocktail hour afterwards. I am looking forward to this cheat! And I’m also taking tomorrow off from working out.
I feel so naughty!!

I totally ate a bunch of chinese food late last night when I knew I shouldn’t have and today I feel gross.

Oh I am so gonna try this Wendy diet !!!
@wildmongoose – I so admire that you can actually go to the gym six times a week, I can barely make it to the gym four times a week with my schedule and my laziness getting in the way lol
I been good for the past month though and honestly I can tell the difference. Ive only lost a few lbs so far but I can definitely tell the difference when i put my jeans on… and now I have even better motivation, I found my dream dress yesterday, I get it in a few weeks so I plan on losing a few more lbs before then !!!!!!

It’s okay to have a cheat meal every so often! Just don’t make it so that you feel so bad that you just blow the rest of the week because it isn’t ‘worth it’ to keep dieting.
