I did a bad thing. I cheated on my dress.
I purchased my dress last month and it was the first shop I had ever gone to. I felt some pressure to buy (totally my fault for this) and went for it. That being said, i LOVE my dress. However, I kept having a nagging feeling that I regretted not shopping around more. I ended up finding a dress at another place that is totally different and I also love it. I hate myself for doing this but it’s 100% my fault. I was playing with fire.
Anyways, let me know which one you guys prefer? I have asked some friends and they have all said the original dress, but I would like some objective opinions. Original dress is the trumpet style and the one I tried yesterday is the A-line.
I overthink everything and the wedding planning is really bringing that out in me.
Option 2: (would fill in see-through bodice on the front, and add straps)

To me there is no question! It’s the original! It’s so flattering on your body and omg look at your amazing back! The second one is lovely, but it just doesn’t do anything for you.

The first one photographs way better than the second one.

The first one is beautiful, the second one looks inexpensive and unflattering. Definitely go with the first one.
Also, I’ve observed on these boards that “dress regret” most often happens when people buy a dress then continue shopping, either in their heads or in person. Don’t! There is no “the one,” there is no dress that is absolute perfection beyond all others, just dresses that will all be beautiful but different. If you can pick a different area of your wedding to focus on the planning for, it will keep this from happening over and over. You’ll look beautiful no matter what.

The original one, hands down. You look amazing in it, I think it’s extremely flattering for your body type.

manylovesbee1 : You are very right. I am usually a really decisive person but man, this wedding stuff.. it’s really making me overthink. I will try to shift my focus!

The original. The A-line is adding extra bulk at your hips that you don’t need because you already have a nicely defined waist (usually the pros of a-line and ballgowns is that they flare out more at the hips and waist respectively helping to create the illusion of a more defined waist for those who are more straight in their proportions than hourglass). And the fuller skirt is making you look more out of proportion comparing top half to bottom (though the straps might have helped with that a little).
The original dress works very well with your figure and looks evenly proportioned.

maritabee33 : 100% definitely the first one. It looks more gorgeous and flattering on you. I love it!!

maritabee33 : Stick to the original. In comparison the second one looks frumpy. Totally get the remorse and think you did the right thing by looking otherwise you would always be wondering. The original looks beautiful, serene and feminine.

I don’t even like trumpets as a general rule, but I don’t even see the contest in this case… you picked the right one from the start. It’s gorgeous.

The first one is freaking gorgeous and really shows off your curves!! The second one just seems kinda average to me.

The trumpet is amazing on you!! Your body looks smokin in it. The a-line is really pretty, but it just doesnt do you justice the way the original dress does.
