- Wedding: September 2013
If you’ve been following my posts, you know that I bought a DB gown. It fits me like a glove, needs almost no alterations, and is already completely paid for.
The problems? I don’t feel like a bride in it.. at all. I started a thread the other day about what a wedding dress “should” be, and like many brides, I think it should be the most special, amazing, beautiful dress I will ever wear. When I try on my DB dress, I feel as though I’m talking myself into keeping it, rather than looking forward to wearing it.
After my parents, my God-father, and my Fiance all telling to just find a dress that I love and that makes me feel like a million dollars, I decided to take their advice. After all.. I can always sell the other one, right?? (Any takers on a size 2/4, new with tags?? lol!)
Before I show you the one I love.. I HAVE to show you this new beauty from Allure. If you watch Say Yes to the Dress, it would look awfully familiar. (Pnina Tornai, Yankee bride anyone??)
Definitely not a dress for me, but I had to share!
Next up is the one I love, Justin Alexander 8641. I hate it on the hanger, on the manican, and on the model, but I love it on me!! The sample was 5 sizes too big, and I had a really tough time keeping it tight enough to show my curves (everytime I moved it popped off!) Anywheres, here she is!
The lace is one thing I love about it, it has a solid embroidered layer with a soft tulle and MORE lace over it. It’s so unique!
Tell me what you think!!
One thing is for sure.. I am NOT rushing this purchase! In fact, I’m going to look more before I commit. 🙂
