@OnceUponATime:  I prefer the first dress. The thing about lace dresses is that I’ve seen so many of them that they’ve sort of blended into one and now all of them just look so…generic. The other one is different, but in a good way. Do what makes you happy, but I like the first one.

@OnceUponATime:  Looks great on you but I really love the first dress…. I’m a sucker for bling and it’s gorgeous!

My vote was like it….. But my vote is love it for the first one!

@OnceUponATime:  I like the Justin Alexander so much more than the Allure on you! The Allure has toooo much going on with the ruching, the beading/bling, and the big skirt. I think it swallows up your figure. The JA is elegant, flattering, and you’re wearing the dress, not the other way around.

@OnceUponATime:  Don’t get me wrong the lace one looks great on you I’m just not a huge fan of lace personally so I have to be honest and say #1 is on a different level in my eyes….. But you are the one wearing it and only you know if you had the moment in it!

@OnceUponATime:  Yeah. The other one is a little samey. Plus, I don’t think the first one will look as dated in 15 years as the second. If you look out a family member’s wedding pictures from the eighties and see the massive puffy dress and hair, you’ll wonder how anyone could’ve worn that. I’m thinking that lace is to the noughties what hooped skirts and tight perms were to the eighties (Maybe to a lesser extent though). I’m not so sure I like the shape of the skirt though.

I looked back at your posts and I definitely think you should get a different dress.  Your DB dress is very pretty, but you were trying to convince yourself to love it (I noticed this in the accessories post).

This isn’t exactly the same, but I tried to convince myself that I loved my first photographer…eventually I realized I just had to cut my losses and sign with the one I’d been eyeing from the start.  I felt so relieved after I cancelled the contract and I’m very relaxed about my photos now- I hope you feel the same with whatever dress you choose!

Honestly, it’s really hard for me to tell the difference between the old lace one and the new one. I notice very minor differences, but IMO the overall look is very similar (or maybe the differentiating details don’t come across well in photos. Or maybe I’m just very unobservant ).

If you’re having dress regret and not feeling bridal, maybe you should get something a little more different from the original. Maybe a ball gown, or something in satin, or tea length. Both dresses are really pretty, though, and honestly you can’t lose. I would just hate to see you get dress regret twice.
