    It will look beautiful, don’t worry.

    I would stick with G/H or higher color grade.

    Keep the yellow gold setting.

     Here is my J set in white gold. I think you will be more than fine with an I in platinum.

    I have an H set in platinum but its vintage transitional cut. It’s never looked anything other than bright white.

    AGS J princess in platinum. I think higher cut & clarity specs affect the appearance of lower color grades a bit, but I love a warm stone.

    Indoor overcast natural light, outside sunny/partly cloudy natural light, indoor artificial light.

    @Hudsonbee:  Aw, thanks so much🥰

    I don’t see it mentioned a ton on here (or maybe I just don’t pay close attn), but seeing the light return map of a diamond can be really helpful in the decision process (the red/green square image in the pic). Now hubby looked for one with a good brightness/contrast combo & irl people guess its color is an H at lowest.

    @roofox:  Light performance – This is where GIA pales in comparison to AGS. Light performance is everything in a diamond and GIA just doesnt do enough to grade it. For fancy shape diamonds you have to rely on an ASET.

    @sunburn:  100% agree. Via Pricescope we learned the most about diamond grading/ASETs/importance of seeing a 360 view of the actual diamond being considered, & likely “saved” thousands of dollars that would’ve been spent unnecessarily on an inferior quality diamond of the same cost.
