That is so crazy! I just looked up the Texas winter storm and I am in shock right now. It said it got down to -19 degrees!! That is insane! It says that at least 20 people have actually frozen to death in their homes! There were pictures of the inside of people’s homes with icicles hanging off the ceiling fans! You guys probably don’t even own a real winter coat or anything. I wouldn’t own one if I lived in Texas. I am so sorry you are going through that! I think I am going to donate to one of the organizations down there helping people. I am praying for you guys. And, yes, running water is a luxury that we don’t really think about until it’s gone.

it was 100% unexpected as to the magnitude of the power grid failure and even our own water supplies. Stores were closed for days and we hadn’t gone shopping so we had to get extra creative. We were putting snow in our bathtubs to flush toilets and wash hands – went through every dish in the house. The company I work for paid for our time off this week and sent out cases of water for those of us without supply. Thank goodnesss for our employer!!! This one apartment complex in town caught fire and there was no water so for 6 hours it burned until tankers arrived with water. I think we’ve all learned a TON of valuable lessons this week and appreciate the little things that much more! Thank you for your prayers ❤️
