I have an MP3 player in my car, chock full of my favorite songs, most of them evoke emotions in me, but not to the point I have to pull over to the side of the road… Today, for some reason (no it’s not PMS) Holes in the Floor of Heaven made me BAWL… I must be crazy o_O

Oh bless your heart! Is there a reason that particular one gets you so emotional?

@Gemstone: Nope, and it never has before! It was at the part that he says about his little girl being 23 and walking her down the aisle (I am NOT 23, and my dad is NOT walking me down the aisle) I have NO clue why it hit me like that…
EDT: Maybe it was because it rained on her wedding day, and that is one of the biggest things I am dreading…

@hiroshymatetrastar: There are about 3 songs, all country songs no less, that get me overly emotional like that, and I always feel like a silly idiot, lol. 😉

That song always makes me cry! It makes me think of my grandfather- after he passed it seemed like they played that song ALL the time…

@hiroshymatetrastar: I bawl every time I hear this song, which is why I don’t have it on my iTunes.
SO always looks at me like a crazy person because I literally cry every time I hear God Bless America or the Star Spangled Banner. I have no idea why. Just happens.

I am dreading hearing the “Christmas Shoes” song during the holidays. I cry like a baby every time, and have gotten to the point where I just turn the song off.
The country song that always gets me is “When I get where I’m going”

Country music is the worst for that! “holes in the floor of heaven” always makes me cry too, as does “love me” by Raye Collin, Tim McGraw “Don’t Take the Girl” and Dixie Chicks “Traveling Soldier”.
You and the PPs are making me want to make a playlist!

@EffieTrinket: I always cried during “Don’t take the girl” but then Fiance pointed out that you don’t know if she died at the end… so I just consider her alive 🙂

@littlemisst08: I have never heard that Christmas song… I’ll have to look it up
@EffieTrinket: Don’t take the girl makes me feel bad for the fella in the song… First he has to take the girl fishing even though he doesn’t want to, than he loses his watch and his car, than they get married, have a child and unfortunately she doesn’t make it, so now he is a single father :-/ .. It is a sad song though, but I LOVE Tim McGraw (yummy)

@hiroshymatetrastar: Don’t do it unless you want to cry your eyes out!!
