so, I tried the dress on, and at one point the sales woman put the veil on my head as they usually do. I traveled a long way to buy my dress, so when I decided to buy it I ordered it via email. She also asked if I wanted the veil that I tried on, well, I needed a veil right? Its a nice store, and it seems like I would have remembered disliking it….and I didnt think I would even care about a veil, as I plan on only wearing it for 30 minutes. Well, the order for the veil took longer than the dress, and after months of waiting the fed ex man wakes me up with the sun rise to sign for it. In a whirl of excitement I tear open the box to find a small ziploc type bag with handles, inside is a square of lovely purple tissue paper. I unfold it, then unfold again, and again, and start to think whatever is in here is getting awfully tiny. Then finally, inside, is a folded scrap of tulle, wrapped around a cheap hair comb. My heart just sank. I literally could have made a nicer one myself, for about 150$ less. Toni Frederici is supposed to be known for nice materials and craftmanship, but this thing is like one 24inch sheet of 89 cents a yard special tulle from joanns whipstiched to one of the cheap bulk order combs I keep in my craft drawer. Its my own fault for ordering something I didnt really remember, and getting caught up in the excitement of ordering my dress. I just feel so silly for wasting money like that, because I do not plan to use this terrible veil. Sooo dissapointed in myself for paying so much for crap. I realize now that I kind of do care about this veils 30 minutes apperance.
Has anybody else done something like this?
