So my sister’s friend agreed to do my hair, and due to some complications about, we couldn’t practice all summer, and it looks like we won’t get to. Fine with me. I’m not too picky. But I DO want to go ahead buying a headpiece, and I need to get whoever will be doing my hair (her) to tell me what she can do/recommends, so I can choose a headpiece.
So at the end of August, I emailed her some pictures to get her thoughts, didn’t hear back (I knew she was moving,) then 3 days ago I texted her asking to respond in some form. No response. So I emailed my sister like, “Hey I’m getting annoyed at so-and-so, could you tell her to respond and tell me if she even still can do this? Or let me know if is she too busy or doesn’t want to?”
My brilliant sister forwards the whole email to her, rather than rewording it. Thanks, sis. (With the intro, “you better call my sister ASAP…”) Of course the friend writes back to me immediately explaining how she just moved and can’t find a job, etc…
Oh, I just really really don’t want to come across as a bridezilla!

Oh that sucks! More like sisterzilla than bridezilla, though.

LOL your sister is a bozo! (I say this lovingly, as I also have a sister who is a bozo.) She threw you under the bus!

Lol! That makes you sound horrible! Poor girl is probably so glad she moved away hahaha. Is there any way you can smooth things over with her?

Not Bridezilla at all – I had a similar thing happen and it’s so annoying. Even if they respond with, “Sorry, I’m busy but will get back to you soon” – at least acknowledge me.
Your sister did throw you under the bus though – not cool!

@red_rose: No it does not but maybe for your sister it does

Not a Bridezilla move in my opinion. It is common courtesy to at least aknowledge the inquiry. A quick, “hey, sorry, super busy, will respond asap” or “got it, get back to you soon” is enough to suffice. In this day and age of smart phones and all the rest, there is simply NO excuse for not reposnding. One of my BIGGEST pet peeves in this world. So disrespectful on her behalf. Especially with a stressful wedding coming up, you want as many items checked off as you possibly can!
Honestly, I’d bail on HER now, and find someone more reliable asap. She sounds like a total flake, and I certainly wouldn’t trust her to even show up on my wedding day. I fired my DJ for less!
