- Wedding: June 2014
I have been back and forth on my date and now it is set! I met with my hall and with the church, and have booked and made my deposits. Also made a deposit on the decorator. Oh my gosh, huge sigh of relief. Official date is June 28th, 2014. It’s really hitting me that this isn’t going to be a small affair, and it isn’t going to be cheap either. I am a little stressed about the money, but my Future Mother-In-Law is planning a wedding social for March, and hopefully we can get a little extra from that.
The great thing about my decorators is they cover everything you can think of for the big day. I just tell them what I like, they run off with my ideas and put something beautiful together. They set up the venue the day before, and they tear it down. I know it’s going to be awesome and so beautiful! This is an example of their work:
I am having circle tables instead of rectangle. Linens will be white. My dominant colour is plum purple, but there will be ivory, red and orange in there too. I have burlap table runners with lace overtop. I really can’t wait to show you all when it’s done! 🙂 🙂
Plus, oh my gosh, that ceiling installation – that chandelier! To die for! It’s going to be magical.
My hall isn’t very big – with the round tables, it seats 160 people snug (right now I think my list is up to 150 people). I will also have to go through the lovely adventure of purchasing my own alcohol for the wedding. Ugh. Oh well, there are tons of resources available.
The decorators need a deposit of $930, and the venue was a deposit of $300. The church I can pay for the week of the wedding. Everything is coming together now, I feel so much better now that I have an official wedding day.
I even got gung ho and made my own save the dates –
They will be made into 5×7 cards and mailed out when the time is right.
Ok, enough about me – June 2014 brides, spill on what you’ve done!
