It's ok. I'd ask her to modify the style a little to make it more similar. : (70 votes)

I don't like it at all. I'd ask her to redo it completely and take your chances it'll look good. : (10 votes)

@langel86:  I like it.  I’d just grow your hair out a little more so that your whispy pieces on the sides hang more.  Also, ask your stylist to make the curls in the back a little “messier”, so to speak.

Beautiful! Your do is a little tighter than Carrie’s — just a little more finished and formal. Maybe the stylist thought that would work better for a wedding, or maybe she’s not used to that softer tousled look. Both look great and totally wedding-appropriate. If you like Carrie’s better, maybe ask the stylist if she can make yours almost just like the trial, but a little softer and looser — tell her you’re going more for romantic than polished.

I actually used this exact picture for my bridesmaids because i loved it but wanted my hair down…

they threaded the hair and it gave it the loose look. it looked exactly like the picture!

Honestly, it looks too “perfect” and too much like “prom” hair.  As a hair dresser, I can tell you that even with your hair swept to the side your veil won’t look stupid.  Plus, most brides don’t plan on leaving in their veils for the whole reception.  If you can’t afford another updo, and don’t plan on seeing your hair dresser until the day of your wedding you should somehow get in touch with her, even if it’s a quick email just to let her know that you plan on changing it.  We aren’t offended, it is YOUR day, and you should wear your hair the way you feel comfortable.

The silhouette and overall look of your style looks great!  To make it a little more like Carrie’s, like the others said, you just need a less sculpted curl in the bun and a softer, “messier” look.  Overall, looks great.

I think if it’s a bit more loose it will give you more of the Carrie look you were going for and you won’t have to do another trial.

It looks too “done”. A bit looser and messier will help a lot.

@langel86:  yep I like it much better after you messed with it a little. The trial hair looks like my first trial did – all the curls in back were perfectly placed and I hated it. I’d have her make it messier/less structured.

It looked great the first time, but I like it even more after you made it “messy”! That’s perfect!
