I seriously thought it wouldn’t happen. I never thought I would second guess my dress decision. I bought a China made dress off eBay and was very happy with it. I’ve even had it altered to my size and posted it a bunch of times here on weddingbee. A couple months ago, I was browsing dresses (which is a bad, bad thing to do if you already have your dress) and got to thinking that my dress is just too plain. I did make a blingy sash, that would have helped dress it up but, it was too late. I had dress regret. I’ve looked from time to time for a used designer gown on several websites, thinking I would never find something in my price range. One day, browsing the classifieds here on weddingbee, I found it!! The sweet seller wanted to share her designer Moonlight Bridal gown and was asking for a quarter of what she paid! I bought it! I took it for alterations the day after I received it in the mail. Alterations cost almost 2 times the amount of the dress because of the detail that I longed for. I was thinking I was making a huge mistake and should have stuck with my original dress but, when I picked it up today, I knew I made the right decision! Thank you to that sweet bride who sold it to me!
Here it is!
And here is my eBay dress. It is wonderfully pretty. I must admit.

Do you want us to vote for reassurance? It seems you’re very happy with your Moonlight Bridal!
Both gowns look great on on by the way!

Really like the Moonlight gown; your face shows how happy you are with it.
Your story almost sounds like mine! My first dress was off the rack at a boutique. The more I looked at it, the less I liked it. Then I bought a Demetrios sample for a pittance, but then decided that it just wasn’t me… Finally ended up with my current dress, a total 180 from the original, and I am thrilled!
ETA: Luckily, I was able to sell dress #2, so now there are only two dresses in the house!

You look amazing in both gowns! Your curves look equally flattering in both of them! I’m partial to the ebay gown. I bet you could really bling it out with some gorgeous jewels!

You look so beautiful in your new gown. Your old gown was a little plain but that’s okay too.

Your new dress is perfect for you.I love it. Before I read your story, I saw the picture and thought, “She has dress regret for THAT dress? Is she CRAZY?” But then I realized it was your new dress. You made the right choice.
The old one was oddly shaped. It gave the same effect as skinny jeans without boots, which is bad.

@happybbbeee: what moonlight style # is this dress? and…..did you tie your corset from below (near butt) upwards??? I noticed the bow is on top of corset–if that makes sense?

@ifheaven: Yes, it’s tied from the bottom up. The seamstress insisted it would look better that way. I plan on tucking in the bow on my wedding day. I had to search for the dress number. It’s from the Stephanie Collection J6148.
