No I haven’t. But I think this pilates thing will grow on me….it just kicked my butt today is all.
I think you should try it a couple more times. My friend dragged me to a pilates class and I thought I would never do it again. But our instructor looked really good (I wanted to look that good), so i thought that I would give it couple more tries. I have never regretted it!!! I have been doing it for the last 5yrs and I am never giving it up!! I have never looked so good in my life. I am serious. I used to be a chunky monkey. Now i love how I look.
Give it more time!!! You will not regret it.
Give it few more times before you give up and try few different instructors, they are all different.
Metea- how often and how long before you saw results ? I started doing yoga and pilates and while I enjoy both I am having hard time sticting to it consistently. I think seeing results would help my motivation
I saw results by one month. I go twice a week. I come from a family of apple people. Which means that i store much of my fat in my belly and not my thighs and arms. So it is really hard for me to get results in my abs. But after a month, I was amazed to see that my stomach didn’t pooch out as much. This is a particular problem after meals. After a month of pilates my abs werent’ rock hard, but it kept its morning shape and did not pooch out after meals. The best thing about pilates is that it tones rather than bulks. So I feel much leaner now.
As an additional perk, pilates helps with your posture, so i don’t slouch as much anymore. I used to bump into people who I had not seen in a while and they said I looked so much taller. Just standing up taller makes you look good. 🙂
I love both yoga and pilates, but i stuck with pilates because i saw more results.
