I’m wondering if I keep telling myself that over and over again if I will stay away from the sales tomorrow. I need to go into the city to take my Fiance to the airport anyway, so it would make perfect sense to drop in at the shops and check out what is left of the sales…except that I need to save money…boo… lol

Just remind yourself that saving is more important.

You can move all your excess money to a savings account to avoid the temptation 🙂

@SimpleGifts: hahaha it’s so tempting! Just try and hold your ground, I find that I feel much better once I drive past the exit without stopping.

I’m actually glad im working tomorrow because otherwise I’m sure I’d be venturing out for the sales. Cyber Monday might just get me though.

Glad to hear I’m not alone! 🙂 I got out my weding budget spreadsheet today and I think that has done the trick.
@kaw2be: Exactly! I will just have to cruise right by the exit and just come home. 🙂

I keep filling up shopping baskets online and then navigating to different sites, haha! I have most of my holiday shopping done, and I need to keep money put away for winter expenses.

Most of the sales arent’ even that good anyways. (The super good ones are gone in minutes and the after christmas sales are normally better) Trust me my Fiance is a retail manager and he laughs at some of the stuff people go crazy over. AND is it really a deal if you’re buying something you don’t need??? I’m going out for a few things that I’ve had on my list of stuff I need but have been putting off b/c they’re never on sale and now they’re finally a tiny bit cheaper than normal.

im staying away this year! the past two years i have gotten some amazing deals and done a majority of my christmas shopping, but this year I am already pretty much done 🙂 not going to lie… im SO glad I don’t need to go out this year! I stuffed myself to bursting at my FIL’s, I can’t nearly move fast enough to keep up with the crowds lol.

@Woodstock: I’ve been hearing rumbles about that as well! Plus, it’s so cold for the early morning sales around here. Unless they’re amazing and for something I really want, I cannot be bothered to get out of my warm, comfy bed for shopping. 🙂

All I hear about are electronics. I’ve never been all that interested in Black Friday. Thankfully, it’s the anniversary of our engagement, so we usually plan to do something fun that doesn’t involved the mall. 🙂

I got 23 silver chargers for centerpieces at 70c each from Michaels tonight..not too shabby. I also picked up a $7 scrapbook for our photobooth, and two frames for the family photos. Maybe you can shop for wedding necessities!
