I only know the specs, because we went ring shopping together. I told him he could have proposed with a Ring Pop, and I would have been just as happy (although, he would probably have to buy more than one, because those babies are delicious! :P).

I know all of the specs…Fiance got my ring from Natural Sapphire Company and it came with all sorts of paperwork for the center stone.  Fiance was rather intrigued by all of it and wanted to share.

I know & I care- no, I’m not materialistic. I found the receipt, I have it insured & I enjoy jewelry Laughing Simple, it’s not that hard to get it appraised.

I can’t say I don’t care about size. I’ve known since I was a teenager they type/size of ring I wanted. Before I became engaged, I would send my fiance pictures of what I wanted. I ended up getting a carat bigger than what I wanted. If your guy really loves you, he will get what you want and more. Now, if your not picky, don’t be sad if you get something you don’t like. Speak up!

I proudly wear a small inexpensive ring but I know the price & carat weight because he gave me all the ring paperwork shortly after we got engaged. We live together and I usually handle all of our bills & paperwork. It’s important info to have on hand in case the ring needs to be repaired or replaced.

I only know my ring stuff because I designed it from scratch. I have a gemstone so I know the equivalent size that it would be if it were a diamond, but that’s just for basic knowledge, and NOT because I NEED to know how big my ring is. As for the two diamonds, I could tell you the size, but as for all that clarity/colour stuff? Haven’t got a clue.

And my wedding band was much less formal – I basically told the jeweller – alternating gemstone & some white stone, here’s my budget, do what you can. He’s either going to get me white sapphire or cubic zirconia, and I’m sure I will never know the difference by looking at it.

I didnt care either.  I had no idea the carat or the specs for months.  In the small town where I am getting married it is considered big.  In the big city where I live it is considered small.  I dont really care.  I just love my man!  The sweetheart.

I have no idea either. He picked it out himself and he’s got the appraisals and all the paperwork. He did a damn good job and it suits me perfectly, that’s all I care about!

@JenBee1111: Turtle Love Co. The more I wear it, the more I am LOVING it! And, according to my fiance, the folks who return emails are prompt and incredibly helpful. Big ups, Turtle Love Co.!

I thought I didn’t care.  sigh.  But then when I got engaged (last time-I’m married now to someone else), my then Fiance surprised me with a (joke) ring that was like a spec of sand.  We were in a restaurant and he asked me to show it off to everybody, the waiters, etc.  I hated the thoughts going through my mind, made me feel guilty and all, but I was actually embarassed by this ring.  Then, when he’d had enough of his little joke, he took out a real ring.  I confess that one of the thoughts I’d been having while (trying to admire) looking at my new-spec-of-an-engagement ring was – is this all he thinks of us, of our engagement! I’m not all that materialistic (all relative) but I think an engagement ring should reflect something about the relationship and readiness for that level of commitment, and should be able to reflect light!!!

I only know b/c he told me after he gave it to me. I guess he thought he needed to tell me, or else he was proud of what he picked out. It didn’t matter to me since I only know what carat means, the rest of the c’s are foreign to me, haha.

I only know because while it was being re-sized (FI didnt listen to his mommy about checking my finger first..lol) and I saw some friends who are married. I told them I thought I had 2 diamons 1/2 ct each on mine. well, the hubby of my friend got all proud and puffed up chest talking about his 2/3 diamond he got his now wife. SHe showed me and I told him he did good, and it was beautiful, and it was! But I realized I had no idea because mine were both bigger, so I asked Future Mother-In-Law since she gifted them. I was wrong! 2 diamonds… 1 ct each… still same amount of love for it, just has insurence

I don’t really care either, my diamond is from my grandmothers ring and my Fiance had the jeweler put it into a new ring he designed. Anyway, if it was good enough for my grandma it is good enough for me.
