Try to remember to keep your arms an inch or two away from your body. If you keep it against your body, it squashes the arm and makes it look bigger. Or put your hand on your hip for the same affect. Hope that helps!

You could try doing this one exercise to tone the backs of your arms (can’t remember the name of the exercise). Basically, cross a pair of light weights (3-5 lbs) and lower them over your head, down your back, and back up. I usually do 2-3 sets of 15 reps a day…have been doing it for about a week and I’m already noticing a difference! Also, scrubbing walls is good for quick toning too, heh. I’m not sure what types of poses might be good, but you photographer would know! No matter what, remember that you are going to be a beautiful bride and your hubby-to-be loves you! 🙂

Tyra Banks says to practice to hide things you don’t like about yourself.  Try posing in a full lengt mirror, you will find poses that you really like and those to stay away from.

This is one of my biggest fears of my pictures and one reason I kind of wish I hadn’t chosen a strapless dress.

I have flabby big boned arms too.  But you dont have to look that way in photos.  yes keep your arms away from your body.  Practice in the mirror and do a practice shoot with a friend movie your arms around in all different angles.  It might feel weird to have your arms in wierd angles but it will look good on camera.  and there is always photoshop

My arms bother me too, so I am going to wear a bolero, so I won’t have to try to remember to stand or pose the best way. I know that I won’t remember to stand or pose, especially after I have had a glass of wine or two. If you aren’t wearing one already, you might consider getting one, so you aren’t worried about your arms all day/night.

My arms bothered me too.  Keep your hands on your hips (in a few, not all pictures)

Otherwise try to keep your arms from laying directly on your side. Even having them a few inches away from your body keeps them looking more slender.

I saw some bridal pics with a shawl wraped around the back and arms and it looked beautiful.  You could do that for some of the pics.

I could’ve written your post! So why did I get a strapless dress again? sigh Anyway, I HATE my arms! The good thing is that I have been doing P90X and have really done some good with them but I had such a long way to go in such a short time. I know it makes a difference but probably still not enough to make me not cringe. I have 6 weeks left and I’m going to keep at it. I feel like in the end, I’m just going to have to let it go and love myself in my pictures no matter what! Great advice about posing though. I am going to PRACTICE! lol
