@Mrs.Jansen:  Yes. I just finished my work out and it was good. Workouts magically cure cramps. You ill never regret working out. Just go.

That’s why I have a wide variety of workouts. Kettlebells when I want efficiency and stability ball or Pilates workouts when I am less ambitious.

It has been proven that exercise helps with cramps.  Just do something small at least and you will probably feel better afterward.

I felt the same way about 2 hours ago. Had a headache and crazy bad cramps. Fiance made me go out with him and lift weights (I told him something along the same lines as you did yours).

I. Feel. Amazing! Cramps are gone and I’m so happy I pushed it because I would have regretted it and felt crappy about myself later lol.

When I really don’t feel like working out, I usually start with the bike or a slowish walk on the treadmill, especially when I have cramps. Eventually the endorphines start kicking in and I end up doing more than I thought I could.

Or I just decide “screw this, it’s not my day, I’m going home”.  Haha.

What do you do for a workout? Maybe you can do something low-impact like a long walk as a substitute or do something smaller to ease into it? On those days I really, really, really do not want to work out, I make myself substitute a different activity. So, instead of weight-lifting i’ll take our dog for a long walk with Fiance instead.

Working out definitely helps my cramps, muscle aches, etc. If I just work through the pain for a little while, I feel so much better afterwards. My shins were killing me yesterday after running, so I went for a fast walk to try to work the ache out. I was starting to doubt whether or not it would help, but eventually it made it completely go away. Glad I stuck in there. I hope it helps you too!

I feel your pain! I am doing the Runners World Summer Streak and have been running every day since Memorial Day and it doesn’t end until July 4. I had a touch of the stomach bug today and really wanted to sit on the couch instead of run. I have found if I just get up and put my running stuff on, that perks me up some. I never regret a run AFTER, getting there takes some talking into sometimes. Hope you got your work-out in!
