I tried to have a whimsical woodsy theme, but I think it ended up all over the place because it’s really hard to get it as focused as you see in wedding magazines – for instance we had rustic elements and it was in a forest, but the reception was in an old mansion, which may have been less in the theme. We had a menu that fit our cultural backgrounds, didn’t try to do anything woodsy for that. I think as long as you have some idea for colors and then decide whether you want more formal or casual, more vintage or modern, and then be okay with it going between those things, you’re fine.

@vip0802: Mine is… get this… WEDDING. We are just having a nice party. That’s it. We are not DIYing anything much and favors will be meaningful local treats.
Similar themes to mine include “Wedded Bliss,” “Holy Matrimony,” “Honeymooners,” “Unbridled Bridalness,” etc.
Everyone can copy. I’m ok with this.

I don’t know if we have a specific theme but color will be cream, lavender, green and possible vintage pink. Lots of lace and victorian element in it?

Our theme is Purple. So not really a theme lol. I’m just obsessed with purple so it will be a purple explosion. It will be awesome!

vip0802: First off, your wedding sounds AMAZING!
Secondly… I would say that the theme of our wedding is a Jewish New Hampshire Semi-Rustic wedding? We are both originally from New Hampshire so we are going back. Flowers include tiger lilies, my favorite flowers that grow all around the lake I grew up on. Cake is vanilla with maple filling and fresh blueberries between layers, and a sprinkling of blueberries on top for decoration (also grew up picking blueberries in my woods) and cake will have a cake topper that is a wooden cut out of New Hampshire with our initials in it. And the venue is a beautiful scenic area of New Hampshire! And the wedding is Jewish. So if there is a theme, I would say that’s it.
Yay themes!

No specific theme is set, but the vibe is going to be “spring”y, romantic, whimsical with a touch of glam here and there. Colors are powder blue, peach and silver. We are also using some lovebirds throughout the decor!

vip0802: I never thought about a theme until my bff asked me about it. Even then, I tolf her that Im getting what I like and making sure that my overall look is cohesive . I know that I want my wedding to be elegant/classy/fun.

vip0802: We don’t have a theme.
Colour scheme is ivory, as our venue has very rich, colourful decor and anything else will be too much, though the bridesmaids are in green, and our stationery and cake are a classic/elegant style.
That’s literally it lol. Neither of us are heavily into anything, plus TBH I’m not the biggest fan of themes in all honesty. Our table names will be the names of hotels we’ve stayed at as we love our holidays, but that’s really the only thing I can think of.

We have quite a few personal touches but no theme. We don’t even really have wedding colors. Fiance and I always say we would get such low scores on Four Weddings – no theme, have to drive 10-15 minutes from ceremony to reception, my dress is very simple, we initially had no decorations at our ceremony venue and only recently decided to do a small amount of decorating. Also our vows aren’t funny.
