So, I know people have posted on this before, but I am starting to panic a little bit about my dress. I bought it three months go when my mom was visiting, and she really wanted me to buy my dress during her visit. We ended up finding one and I had to pay for it in full when I ordered it. The dress isn’t coming in for another month to three months, but meanwhile I’m freaking out as to if I picked the right dress? It is not something I would normally wear, and looks nothing like the dresses I was looking for. The problem at the time was that I kept finding dress styles I liked in ads and photos, not on designer websites, so when I brought pictures in and didn’t know who the designers were, no one in the bridal stores knew where to find those dresses!
So I bought this dress, and as more and more time has gone by I look at the pictures of me in it and think “What was I thinking?” And I feel like if I am thinking that then everyone else will be thinking it as well. I don’t want to walk down the aisle in something that isn’t me and in something I don’t feel great in. The dress in the store was at least one size too big, so I feel like I look huge in it. Plus, I never thought I wouldgo with tulle (and still don’t like the material in general). I know everyone says to stop looking, but the whole reason why I’m still looking at other pictures is because I don’t like my own. What should I do?

I think you look beautiful! What don’t you like about it?

It’s STUNNING! Don’t worry, I started panicking about my dress between the purchase and my first fitting. When I looked at photos I was feeling kind of down, not getting happy butterflies. But when I went to my fittings and put it on again it felt WONDERFUL. Just be patient 🙂

It’s absolutely gorgeous and you look fantastic in it. I wouldn’t worry.

It’s beautiful!! I actually had quite a bit of dress regret for about 3 months months. I went and tried on a dress I originally loved and realized that 1) my dress is gorgeous, 2) I couldn’t justify spending more money on another dress when my dress was gorgeous.

I think it’s absolutely beautiful! I’m not always a big fan of tulle, but I love it on this dress, with the lace.

the dress is beautiful! my dress was way too big when i ordered it too, so i started to question. but seriously, getting it altered to your size will make a huge difference. and for the record, i think it looks great in your picture pre-alterations/your own size!

It is beautiful. No one will be questioning why you bought that dress when you walk down the aisle.
I am not much of a fan of tulle either as a material, but I love it in your dress and other dresses like it that I’ve seen. And fit makes a huge difference. You don’t look huge in that picture by any means, but you will DEFINITELY see the difference yourself when you get your dress that is your size and then have any alterations needed done.

OK, I was expecting something looney and horrific from the text. LOL
I am relieved to see that your dress is in fact beautiful, elegant and classy. If you really don’t like it, that sucks, but objectively it’s a lovely dress and were I a guest at your wedding I would think “stunning!”

I think the dress is very traditional and the cut (although large on you in the picture) looks like it will be very flattering on you when all the alterations are done. It will look a thousand times better when it fits you like a glove 🙂

You look GORGEOUS in your dress. Very classic. I’m sure everyone will be saying “wow” on your big day.
