I think it’s a great ring! And with the thin band she can stack rings later if she wants more bling. Keep the ring.

It’s a stunning ring!!! And I personally much prefer thinner bands as they look more elegant to me so trust me, thin isn’t necessarily a negative. Maybe diamonds will fall out of the pave setting but then again many many people have paved and are happy so it’ll be fine!

And the typo is cute! It’s okay!!! If I were you’re Girlfriend I’d just smile every time I saw the engraving for the sweet message and the quirky mistake. It’s the thought that counts!!!! You’re not a native speaker I’m guessing and so she’ll just appreciate the effort. Do not sweat it and ignore your family!!!!

The ring is classic and beautiful. Your thoughtfulness in picking something beautiful for her is so sweet and it seems she is one extremely lucky lady. You know your love best and what she’d like. The ring my brother bought his girlfriend isn’t my style at all. Too gaudy. But she will love it and its beautiful. Just remember, everyone has an opinion. If you and your girlfriend love it…you’re golden.

Mr.Miller :  Gotcha.  The diamond you picked has great specs and you probably got much more bang for your buck than you would at a store like Jared etc.  It is perfect.  Good luck with your proposal!  Don’t stress.  You did great.  Also, I am sure a jeweler can change the i in di to an e easily.

It is a really awesome ring! I think most girls would love it. I think you should go for it. If she doesn’t totally love it you can always tell her to change the setting or something.

That’s crazy! That ring is beautiful. The specs are great, and the ring is just elegant. Remember that this is for her and not for your sister and mother. You know your potential fiancee. Trust yourself.

Mr.Miller :  I think they are being too harsh!  Size is not everything!

I love the ring. It has just enough bling and just enough classic to appeal to most women. I would keep it and let her know she can change it if SHE wants to, but I would have loved that ring, especially knowing how much thought you put into it.

It looks great! It’s really similar to one I have, I’m sure she’ll love it. It’s very classic.

I wouldn’t change it without letting her decide for herself. Your mom and sister aren’t the ones who will be wearing it! Propose with it, and let her know if she’s not 100% happy with it she can pick something else. Why waste time and money exchanging a ring that she might absolutely love!?

To give you an idea, i’ve got a similar spec ring (approx 1ct center stone [it’s 7mm across], thin band) and I’m a size 5. It’s really not too small at all:

It’s so pretty and sparkly! The extra thin band and cushion cut diamond are very fashionable right now. So I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Is it possible they were just pointing out you may have been able to get more bang for your buck? D VS2 is basically flawless/top of the line in diamond terms.. personally I would have rather had a G/H color and get a little more carat size.

It’s a gorgeous ring and she should just be excited to have you propose, but maybe that was their intent with saying you should take it back? Either way it’s a lovely ring, it’s more about what the person recieving it values
