There is a gal on my FB that I keep on my friend list, purely for entertainment. She’s the girl who will post every detail of her life, the issues with her FI’s ex, all about her health issues, how much all her new purchases cost, etc.
Her latest post was something to the effect of this:
To Guests of our wedding: re:gifts
We did include a card in our invites stating that we did not want gifts, however should you wish to help us out with our honeymoon, here is all the details to do so.
And then proceeds to put ALL the info in the post. This isn’t even in a private group post or anything, it’s right on her wall, visable to everyone. I don’t know why it’s driving me nuts that she posted that…probably because she is asking for gifts, even though she already said “no gifts.” Ugh! What do y’all think?

Ryansgirl: If you only keep her on your friend list for your amusement, I guess she has done her job.

Yeah, I had a friend post things like that last month! And FI’s sister is all about TMI posts, it’s so embarrassing. Whyyyyyyyyyy

Ryansgirl: The reasons it’s annoying is twofold: 1) Talking about gifts that you expect to be given, for whatever reason, is just ugly; and 2) I absolutely cannot stand when people publicly write about their wedding planning on FB. It is a complete insult to the people who are not invited.
I feel your pain.

Ryansgirl: You know why that really burns me? Because she’ll get what she wants, and it’s frustrating, because many of us would rather have cash than a gift but there’s no good way to ask for it. So her rudeness will be rewarded. I hope lots of people take the invitation card to heart and give her the nothing she asked for in the first place.
