Yeah I want to delete mine. I unfollowed everyone who is constantly posting political  memes (which was a lot) and there is nothing for me to see anymore. But I still have mine because I run my company’s social media page.

I’m team instagram all the way!! Haha!

I’m over facebook too. I really want to take a break and deactivate my account, but the last time I did that my inlaws got all offended and I had people calling me asking why I blocked them 🙄

trackwise :

I used to scroll Facebook a lot. Now I post and scroll through my feed occasionally.

I like it better here and check for updates on here more often than on Facebook 😂

daysgoneby :  Omg I totally see my mom’s side doing that to me when I finally delete mine! I never thought of that! They already message me constantly telling me that I don’t post about my life enough… and these messages come from my grandparents and aunts!

I deactivated but now I think I’m going to delete it. After the Cambridge Analytical scandal and now hearing they are trying to get banks to give up financial info about their customers. Nope.

Sooooo many ads, it’s driving me bonkers. I stay for some of the memes and life updates on people – which are few and far in between. I’m definitely more active on Weddingbee than any social media site LOL

I still like Facebook for the ease of planning group stuff but that’s about it. I was an addict for the longest time but I found over the last little while that my feed just isn’t interesting anymore. It’s mostly sponsored stuff or random crap that an algorithm thinks I’ll like so I hardly see any of my friends stuff anymore. I scrolled through once in a while when I’m bored now but not much anymore. Now I am mostly on IG on my dogs account looking at other dogs hahaha

daysgoneby :  I had the same! Deactivated my account in October, people were still getting offended at Easter that I had “blocked” them. Fun to know how much notice they were paying me that it look so long for them to spot that I’d disappeared! Fortunately I’d told key people I’d be deleting my account, so when the complaining happened it was shut down straight away .

I have an adblocker, so I don’t see any ads on Facebook…it’s pretty fantastic. Personally FB is still the only social media I’ll use. I know Instragram, Snapchat, and Twitter are becoming more popular, but I don’t really understand why. FB still has the best community interaction options…Twitter only gives you 140/280 characters to type with, while Insta and Snapchat require a picture with your post–and I’m not one who likes posting pics to begin with. FB gives you way more options. Idunno, maybe I’m just oldschool. Other social media apps just don’t seem the most efficient to keep up with your friends/family’s lives.
