I understand why they do it. People can be rude and snarky but it would sometimes nice to see if the OPs in some of these thread ended up coming to their senses. Anyone else ever wish they had been able to “read the end of the story”?

I like the fact that they close the threads.
I think the threads where people start acting like highschool drama queens really creates a toxic enviroment on the boards.

I guess i see it from the opposite direction. I feel like the responders are the ones who are snarky and rude to a poster (who may or may not be posting something stupid)
I like when they close threads where responders are ‘piling on’ and repeating themselves. Why do people feel the need to ‘change’ strangers?

As a poster who made a thread and had it closed due to that it was derailed and I was insulted repetitively because I didn’t word something to their liking (it was a dress post for Fsakes.. hardly controversial) I say close them.
Now if the mods close something where no one requests it? Then I can totally see your point.
