I think it will be hard for us to comment unless we see some pictures of you in the dress.

They didn’t even let you take pics after you purchased? Whaaaat?

I had this exact same problem. I had a big puffy ball gown but when it came I decided it’s just not me, I didn’t want to look like a princess or have some huge dress. I listed it on preownedweddingdresses.com this week and already have a couple girls interested. So it’s not the end of the world to have dress regret and get a new one.

But you should go try it on again in the store and make sure you know what you want/don’t want. Good luck!

@radar:  I tried on the SaBelle and thought it was pretty but insanely heavy so I opted not to get it.  Is the other dress that you keep thinking of at the same salon? if so can you schedule another appointment to try on both dresses again.  I think by doing this you will be able to make a better decision and will either decide to keep your dress or see if you can do a re-select.      If the SaBelle hasn’t been ordered yet and you decide you don’t want it maybe the salon can apply the deposit to your new dress.

@radar: Whew, they are different! If you truly feel the dress you bought is not the one for you,  have you tried to see if the salon can switch the dress orders?

@radar:  I’m sorry. I’m not quite understanding what you mean by “I don’t know if I switch dresses the dress I didn’t choose would already be paid for.” Are you worried about a price difference between the two dresses?

@radar:  Doesn’t hurt to call them ASAP! The worse they could say is that it is too late but it would be awesome if they could switch it out. Maybe it would help if you tried to envision what you would look like getting married in the dress? Accessorize it with the veil, the jewelry, etc. You may like the dress more than you think. If you truly can’t stand it, you could try selling it to fund the cost of the other dress. However, you run the risk of not being able to sell it at all.

@radar:  Even if there is a $500 difference eye tween the gowns, you could ask the store for a credit to apply towards your accessories (veil, jewelry, etc).
