I would be ok with receiving the fondue set or the picnic backpack, but everything else would be returned. Oops,I guess the custom mugs from Etsy couldn’t be returned, but what a waste. I sure hope that $66 is for two mugs, not just one.

Unless you know someone really well and are certain they would like an off registry choice, I would choose something from the registry or send a cheque.

I do like the paper embosser… lol.  But generally, I totally agree with you.  My response: “oh great, more useless crap I’ll never use to fill my house with”.  I also don’t like the tone of the author “they obviously don’t know what’s good for them”  “they don’t care about their registry” Um: WTF?!

Ok really? They’re all awesome? No. I would not want any of these.

Yeah… these are probably not the best gift ideas 🙂

@furtureffcaptwife:  I totally agree! While adding a small/fun item to your gift might be okay, completely ignoring the registry isn’t that great of an idea. My Fiance and I don’t live together and both live with siblings, so we don’t have ANY big ticket items that we’re going to need to just to live! (dishes, pots and pans etc.) If everyone ignored the registry we’d be eating our fondue off of those Bingo boards! haha!

The vintage games is pretty cool, but *gah* I’m sad that they are encouraging people to buy thigns off the registry- and seriously, most of these are just *stuff* with little purpose. At least the stuff of the registry is stuff people would use (this is an assumption- I’m a super logical person and probably won’t any novelty items to mine)

Yeah, I checked it out. I might like the old games, but the other stuff, no thanks!!! I would rather my guests give cash then items not on our lists.

Well, the fondue pot is fun, we got one and have already used it a couple of times. The picinic backpack is kind of cool too. But an embosser? Or $60 mugs??

These are all going to be dust collectors to most people!

haha, I have to show this to Darling Husband. He put that same exact popcorn popper on our registry as a joke (I later removed it). If we had a cute movie theater room in our basement, that’s the only place I would put something like that.
