I just sucked it up and got the timeline today just to try to get a jumpstart on the inevitable…I hate it. It’s terribly confusing. I’m still working on the privacy.

@Pinksapphire: I have the timeline & love it. Want to delete or hide stuff? If you hover the mouse over the upper right hand corner of each post, 2 small icons will appear, one is 3 lines & the other looks like a pencil. If you click on the pencil it will give you the option to hide it from your timeline or delete it or a few other options. You’ll have to click each post individually, but it does let you remove it :).

I have no recollection of what the hell I was posting on facebook years ago, but I’m guessing it’s nothing to be proud of.

I’m confused as to why people are upset about this. I got it when they started offering it to developers and it’s fine. All of your posts are there with the old/current format, it’s just changing the way they’re displayed. If there’s something embarassing just hide/delete it.

I heard by Dec 23rd they are automatically changing everyones account over – which is why I did it a few days early.. so I could filter some stuff (although my privacy settings are pretty maxed out as is)

Also , I find people who arent your friends could see more than I would want them too .. I havent decided how to limit that yet ( I only want them to see my profile picture and that big b/g photo whateverthehellthatis)

It’s not a breach of privacy if you’ve already put it on the internet…

@Aure: I’m not upset, but it’s annoying (especially for the non tech savvy) to constantly be changing your privacy settings and try to control what people are seeing when you just want to network with your selected friends. But that’s just the joy of online livin’.

LOL I lOVE that picture leafgum!!! that’s so true.  I really do wish FB would stop changing things all the time.  I’m tired of it.  I know someone whom deleted their page just recently since they are tired of changes.

It would be fun to go back and find posts from when got engaged though!
